Editorial Reviews

About the Author

"Be grateful for all the things you have. Try to live your life meaningfully, not so much for yourself but for the people you love, and also for the people you do not love. Don t harm people, try to do good. I know it sounds very old-fashioned, but it really works. Also, if you do your Feng Shui with a good heart, it works better. I promise you that. (From an interview with Lillian Too in HELLO magazine, written by Sophia Goh, Malaysia September 2007)."

Lillian Too is an icon and one of the most prominent names in the feng shui world today. She is the author of over 80 books, many of which have been translated into 30 languages with millions of copies sold worldwide. Lillian s books are written in a manner that is enlightening yet easy to understand, even for someone with no previous experience in feng shui or Chinese astrology. Her books on Buddhism, the I Ching and Chinese Astrology will surprise, delight and fascinate you.

While she attributes much of her fame, fortune and luck to feng shui, she is quick to point out that feng shui is only one third of your trinity luck one third is karma and the other third is what you do in your life.

When she is not writing, she is busy lecturing, teaches classes at her Institute of Feng Shui in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, working with her daughter Jennifer in their highly successful on line business, World of Feng Shui or enjoying time with her family.

Like many people, I can't resist reading my horoscope in the newspaper every morning though I don't take it too seriously. Having been born under the feline sign of the Chinese Zodiac, I decided that it would be interesting to have a peek into the future and so I discovered Lillian and Jennifer Too's Fortune & Feng Shui series at the local bookstore.

There is one book dedicated to each of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac. The one for the Tiger is divided into 3 sections. The first part discusses male & female tiger personalities, the differences that the four elements (water, earth, fire, wood) create and love compatibility between the Tiger and the other signs. The second section covers the Tiger's outlook for 2008 and month-to-month predictions in the areas of career, business, romance, family and education. The last section gives feng shui advice to enhance and improve the Tiger's luck.

This book assumes that the reader has some knowledge of feng shui as the authors sometimes do not explain some terms. I found the feng shui part of the book a bit confusing too since, for example, it says that the North is an excellent direction for the Tiger yet should not sit facing North. Overall, the book is interesting and I love the illustrations, which are pictures of beautiful and intricate paper cuts. Are the advice and predictions working? Well, since living with a couple of pack rats makes it difficult to get rid of the clutter, I have to content myself with displaying and/or wearing some of the suggested good fortune enhancers. It doesn't hurt helping luck come your way.
