I bought this book for a friend who was celebrating her 40th birthday. I browsed the book and was pleasantly surprised at the content. It's a series of essays by various people on basically how to celebrate life. Sometimes we get too caught up in the everyday routine of life and we forget how good it feels to "stretch" by considering another point of view and trying something new or different. While I didn't read the entire book, just glancing at the table of contents there were a few ideas worth pursuing. I am actually ordering another copy just for me - I thought it was that good. I'd recommend it for anyone looking to change up their world a bit, even if it's not time for a milestone birthday.

I did not realize this book was geared towards women so I was unable to give the book to the birthday boy turning 40 so buyers beware. Otherwise, it appears to be a good book to give to a lady turning 40, however, I did not read it, but only glanced at it. Besides the book itself the seller seemed good, book condition was perfect, and shipping was very quick!

Clearly for 40th birthday gifts, this book has a few laughs and insights, but when I paged through it I found nothing heavy-handed that might insult the recipient. The response from the honoree was positive.

This is an amusing look at 40. Great gift idea for those at the top of the hill.

Got this as a birthday gift for my friend and I chuckled as I flipped through even just a few topics. She also seems pleased - good choice!
