When I first listened to 42 Guys in Suits, I thought to myself "Wow, that was a terrific album, filled with numerous delightful riffs and lyrics". Now, every time I listen to it, it is like I am being taken to a massive swing party and like there is no stopping the band. First off, Jerry Becker writes remarkably witty lyrics that make you smile and put you in awe of his vocal talents. Then, the rest of the band just does an unbelievable job with their instruments and really brings out a sense of excitement within you.

My favorite track by far is "Beautiful Ladies in Fancy Cars".

Buy this album if you are a true swing fan.

Actually, my Jazz and band teacher is the Bari Saxophonist in this band. I was given the privilege to meet Jerry Becker (the composer) in person, we played a song of his called "Curtains for Three" in our concerts and he came to a practice to clinic us. Nice man, great band, listen to it.

Go ahead and try to listen without tapping your toes. The rhythms are infectious and the music is full bodied. The smooth vocal stylings of Jerry Becker are engaging and his lyrics are clever and entertaining. This collection is a must for any swing fan.
