After I purchased these, I found out that 'RG-59 mini' dimensions are not as standardized as other coax cables. With the 'Monster' barand cables I was using, the center insulation was just barely too wide to fit, and the outer cable wouldn't fit with foil and braid folded back. Also my stripper's step lengths didn't match what I measured with a piece of fine wire. By peeling all the braiding and foil off I could feed the cable in, shaving a bit of the center insulation off in the process. Spinning the tip of a knife in the top of the center tube helped to sharpen it. The other problem is seating the center wire in the tip of the connector. With such a tight fit it's almost impossible to tell if the wire went in or crumpled. I ended up inserting and removing the connector several times, until it slid in easily, marking the cable where the connector should be fully inserted, and checking the wire tip for bending. Next time I'll use connectors made by the cable manufacturer.
