I love watches, but finding ones I actually want to wear is difficult. This one is great on many points. First, the numbers are clear and easy to read. I have another watch that just has lines for the 12, 3, 6 & 9, instead of displaying the numbers, and I find that annoying. Also the date on the other one is difficult to see. This watch is extremely easy to read even in poor lighting. The second good point is the band, which is rubber. Now this is surprising to me. I thought it would be uncomfortable and hot, but it is actually very comfortable to wear all day, and my wrist does not get sweaty at all. If you got tired of the rubber, you could put another band on it easily. The timepiece itself is very sturdy and quite hefty. It is large, but not nearly as large as many other watches. Finally, the price really can't be beat. It is tough to find a good quality watch at this price. Get one and enjoy it.

I was looking for an everyday watch that I could wear, one that was both comfortable and stylish. What caught my eye at first was the way it looked; it had a rubber band and the design of the face was easy to read with a bold look to it. I took the plunge and purchased it. When it arrived and I took it out of the box, it seemed almost too big at first and I was wondering if I made a mistake. That thought went away as soon as I put it on my wrist because it felt solid, comfortable, stylish and it wasn't too big like I was thinking at first. I find that this watch is comfortable to wear because of the rubber band, easy to put on and off. The band seems really durable and the construction is great; I feel like this watch will last me years and years.

I've had this watch for approx 2 weeks. all I can say what a great purchase. It's not overbearing in size but yet larger than most typical sizes which is good. Very easy to look at and read. Date is larger to read as well. The minute markers have an angle to it which i find gives it some class and character. luminescence is bright but doesn't stay very long. rubber strap is very comfortable and the watch is not real heavy or thick as many other bigger watches. my only wish would have to be that it could have been solar so the battery would never have to be replaced.

This is a great looking watch and easy to read to include the date. The size is perfect as several watches on the website are very large and look like a wall clock on your wrist. This is not the case with the AM4239. great purchase.

This watch has been everything that I had hoped it would be. Very pleased with this product.

This watch is awesome! Great Quality, Perfect Size, Comfortable and Stylish. This is my second watch from Fossil and i am very pleased with this product.

I received the AM4239 black rubber watch today and I'm pleased with it so far. I knew I wanted a fossil watch b/c of the affordable pricing for great looking watches that last a long time. This one is warranted for 11 years. Making a choice on which one to buy took me a while and I'm glad I finally decided on this one. I chose it b/c it's simple without a display of dials that I won't use. It looks professional and doesn't need to be sized by having to add or remove metal links like with watches that I've purchased in the past. I just took it out of the box and pulled it tight enough where it wouldn't shift and latched it. I wanted one with rubber straps b/c I'll be working in it and I don't want to have to constantly worry about new scratches on metal links b/c I do a lot of manual labor each day. There isn't a push button light like you'd get on a digital watch but all the white areas on the face glow after coming out from the daylight which is a nice feature and you just wouldn't get the elegance and style that Fossil watches have from a digital.
