This is a beautifully crafted chess set at a great price! The red onyx and fossil marble contrast nicely! Nicely carved pieces. Very pleased. The only thing I did was add felt circles from a craft store to the bottoms of the pieces so they wouldn't scratch the board. The board itself is a work of art.

This is so frustrating! I purchased this beautiful chess set for a Christmas present. It arrived promptly but one of the pieces was broken. I immediately sent an email to Marbles N Whatever company. They sent me back an email the very same day. But thats been almost 2 weeks. No sign of my replacement piece. I've emailed twice and called the 888 number. No response. Its 4 days until Christmas and the mail has already come. I guess I'll be giving my son-in-law a half-a** present.

Good luck trying to get this company to honor its return policy.

The set is beautiful as is the blue velvet case. I just wish it were a little bit larger, otherwise its perfect!

This is a perfect chess set except the kings do not fit in their allotted storage spots. A small issue but one I felt I needed to point out. Otherwise, a beautiful gift item.

We got this chess set for our son's 13th birthday. He is really into chess, and this is his first nice set. He is thoroughly pleased with it, and feels like the richest kid in town. The stones are beautiful, and each piece is truly unique. We couldn't have gotten a nicer set for the price. I'm not a chess player, but this set makes me wish I was!

This is a nice chess set. The red onyx pieces are especially beautiful. I have enjoyed playing chess with them.

However, please be aware that the red onyx pieces are fragile. In very gentle play over the last year, I have broken (and repaired) two of them.
