WONDERFUL BOOK for FOSTER CHILDREN!,
By Cindy & Dick Lovell (Battle Creek, MI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What's A Foster Family, Anyway? (Paperback)
This interactive and easy to read book, with colorful illustrations, explains several aspects of foster care. A foster girl named Sarah explains what a foster family is and some of the reasons why children are placed in foster homes. She reassures foster children that being in foster care is not their fault. Sarah talks about some of the feelings and questions she had when she first went into foster care. Sarah even discusses topics such as what to call foster parents and what a Guardian ad Litem is. I think this book is a wonderful resource for foster children and foster parents! -Cynthia Miller Lovell (author of The Star: A story to help young children understand foster care, and Questions & Activities for The Star: A handbook for foster parents)
