The packaging was simple but was surprised at how well the velcro with the rubber friction pad stuck on the head of my Yongnuo YN-560II flash head.

How it works:
The velcro with rubber backing wraps around the flash head. It should fit most flash out there as there's plenty of room for heads that are bigger. The second piece has two compartments with two velcro strips that attach to the head. One compartment to hold the CTO gels and another transparent compartment is used to hold the gel in place. You can stack the gel sheet as there's enough room.

Colors:
The dark red seen in the photo does in fact does give very distinct red hue. Lightest yellow has subtle warmer tone and the solid yellow gives more distinct warming effect. I haven't tried all the colors but will definitely add more cool or warm contrast depending on the light condition, create a nice background if not do some wild post processing effects. Looking forward to using this often!

This was a perfect product.. I have used it to create a pure blue background behind a bartender to creating multi colored bubblegum splash behind a fashion model for a commercial shoot.. I love these little things.. These have definitely taken my strobe work to another level.. I don't use these to correct or compensate colors, but to destroy and create, which is amazing!

I must say, this is an interesting design for filter application.

The only issue I found with this product is that the filters are a little thin and kind of difficult to slip in/out of the sleeve. Other than this, these seem to work fine.

Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Comes with a decent number of filters
- Innovative design

Cons:
- Filters too thin/flimsy
- A little difficult to insert and remove filters from pouches

If you have never used gels with a Speedlight, give these a try. They are inexpensive, attach reasonably easily to most Speedlights, and will open up a number of new lighting possibilities.
If you are an old pro with gels, I suggest you pass these by and get the more expensive (but much superior):

http://www.amazon.com/ExpoImaging-ROGUEGELS-U-Rogue-Photographic-Design/dp/B005KEL4NI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1390423239&sr=1-1&keywords=ExpoImaging+ROGUEGELS-U+Rogue+Photographic+Design

The Fotasy set works well enough, but lacks the quality of the Rogue set.

Additionally, make sure you have a roll of Scotch tape or something similar for attacjing them to your lights. It is sometimes needed.
I use 2 popsicle sticks taped to the top of the light, protruding about 1/4" beyond the top of the light. I use the tape to attach the gels to the sticks, providing a small amount of clearance (and heat dissipation), which keeps these thin gels from warping.

Really, for $8.99, you get your money's worth. They just won't likely stand up to the heavy demands placed on them by a pro photographer.

Unlike the Lumiquest gel holder, this one doesn't require you to stick any velcro adhesive onto your flash head. Lumiquest intentionally did this so you'll be inclined to purchase some of their other small light modifiers, which uses the same idiotic attachment method. On this, you would simply wrap a rubber-lined velcro strap that hugs tightly onto the flash head. Then attach the bottom and top velcro tabs around the front of the lens of your flash. Since the strap is pretty long, it should universally fit most speedlights in the market. It worked great with both of my Canon 580ex. If you find that the extra gel storage compartment is annoying, do like I did and carefully cut it off at the seam. This will separate it from the main gel holder and you could still use it to hold the extra gels in your bag. This leaves you with just a lightweight gel holder with the top and bottom tabs intact for attachment. If you're afraid the velcro pieces on the vinyl tabs might fall off after multiple installs and removals, put two staples on each of them and it'll remain secure for a long time. But this shouldn't happen unless you carelessly rip it off every time you remove it, Have fun gelling!

This little system is nice. Good quality better than I expected it to be. I'm going to order a couple more for my other flashes. The speed strap that snugs around your speedlight is just fantastic. If your reading this then your still deciding 1 if you need it?...yes you do. And 2 if you should spend more money on another set? No you don't. Buy this right now click add to cart and then click yes on was this review helpful. a couple of days later you will receive this and you will see that's what i'm talking about. Do yourself a favor and join the "that's what i'm talking about club", you deserve it. Thanks for reading.

Awesome for the price. But could have a better design because it takes some time to change color but overall very good.

Lots of fun filters; it includes a velcro case that can be used to strap the filter to the flash unit. These are tiny filters that pretty much fit almost exactly over the flash head of a speedlight so if you need something bigger than that don't buy these. Anyway, they do what they need to and are very well priced so I'm happy with them!

I've been enjoying these flash filters a great deal. They add a lot more character to my photos. Yes they are cheap and the attachment is as well but they are easy to use and I don't mind if they get torn up since they didn't cost much.
