This is a nicely made metal adaptor for the Pentax Q to Pentax K lenses.
It has a nice sturdy feel to it being metal
It attaches to the Q & the lenses snuggly but comes off fine.
It works fine except for me this unit will not focus to infinity.
Thus if you are using K lenses as close up Telephoto lenses - it works OK
But if you need it for landscape or infinity focus - it is a no go.

The Q has the smallest sensor of any ILS out there. It's similar in size to Canon Powershot sensor. This means the 35mm crop fator is about 5.5. In way this magnifies the image you get on the Q compared to an APSC sensor witch is about 1.5 depending make/model.

What does this all mean? The kit 18-55 that most pentax SLRs ship with are more like a ~100mm - 302mm. For kicks and grins I mounted my Sigma 55-300mm which works out to ~550 - 1650mm or as I like to call it, a comical focal length. Basically, you cannot hand hold a K mount lens on the Q, you need a tripod.

That being said, it's great to have in my bag. Also, who knows, maybe I'll find a use for the 1650mm focal length on the sigma.

A bit loose on the camera body and there's no tripod mount, but allows you to use your old lenses. And the huge bonus is that it multiplies the zoom by about 5 times, allowing the camera to take cheap zoom lenses. Just don't expect automatic aperture, a shutter or automatic zoom.

Item did NOT come with the removable tripod mount as the pictures show, and describe. No way to contact Amazon that I can find unless I simply want to return the item. Photo clearly shows tripod mount.

of course it does what it is supposed to do in most cases. However if you have
a heavy lens attached the tripod connector will bend and sag.
Would recommend it for light duty use.

Well built - but an important note: there is a tiny silver screw that may need to be removed before it will fit on your Pentax Q. Not sure why it's there. In any case it's a good adapter, and does the job. You'll likely need a tripod though because your K-mount 55mm becomes something like a 300mm.
