I'm a photographer and I received this for my birthday. I wanted one, so I was excited to get it, but I was a little disappointed with it as a mug.

The first thing is that the epoxy sticker on the side came off in the dishwasher the first time I washed it. So I realized that it's not to go in the dishwasher. And I was able to glue the sticker back on, so that wasn't a huge issue.

The worst thing is that it doesn't really keep the coffee warm. I have other travel mugs that keep coffee pretty warm for hours, but with this one my coffee was cold, cold, cold within 30 minutes. This can actually be a good thing when you want to drink your coffee right away.

Another minor annoyance is the bottom ring (where the lens would actually attach to a camera) is removable. If you forget to unscrew it and let it dry out after washing, it will leak water.

Still, a very cool gift and amusing.

I received this Fotodiox Tumbler within a few days of ordering and was a little nervous because the reviews on it were good and bad. When I opened it, I was actually very impressed with the attention to detail and the size of the tumbler. I think it will make a great Christmas gift for the photography enthusiast in our family and I just can't wait to see what he thinks of it. The only negative thing about this item is the lid. It is neat, but it screws on and does not have an opening to drink out of. I already was aware of this when purchasing, though, so I'm not going to take off any stars for it. All in all, I really like this gift and believe it will be very well received.

Bought two of these. There is no slot on the top to drink from. You have to remove the top to drink. Try that while you are driving. Did some surgery with my Moto Tool to add a slot and make the cup usable.

Great little thermal cup for hot or cold liquid. The detail for the outside of the cup is amazing and it has already turned a few heads as people thought I was holding an actual lens to my face. The plastic seems of good quality but the threading on the screw-on lid is a bit tight and I feel like I am going to break it, although I have not yet.
Great novelty buy for camera collectors or photographers.

I have seen others where you can move the rings - actually mount it to a camera - and where the top allowed you to drink out of it. But for the price this does the trick. came packaged well and delivered quickly (and shipped for free because of another product I ordered). Plus it is 16 oz - larger that a lot of other similar products.

Bought this as a gift for a camera savy friend. I unpacked it before gifting it to insure quality. It appeared well made and was very realistic looking. I was shocked to find out it even has a telescopic feature (twist and it "zooms")!! My friend loved it. The only down side is the lid does not have a drinking hole, but I already knew this from other reviews before purchasing.

I love this product because my daughter is a photographer and i got it for her for christmas and she went crazy over it! All of her photography friends thought it was a real lens until she drank from it. So that is why I gave it 5 stars.

I received this as a gift from my wife. Mine also says "Nican" but I not all that upset about it, and frankly people, have you never heard of copyright law or trademark infringement? It is illegal to label these things as "Nikon". I do not know if this is the exact seller, but it appears to be the same item. I am just copying and pasting this review into all the products I find on Amazon.

The cup seems fairly well made other than the fact that it doesn't have a drinking lid. This makes it pretty much useless for travel, but OK for at home or in the office. I may try to drill a drinking hole and a breather hole in the provided lid. The lid simulates a typical Nikon lens cap and the recesses for your fingers to remove a real cap should make for fairly functional drinking.

As for zooming, this seems like a pretty stupid feature and I'm glad mine doesn't do it. Seen some complaints on other product reviews. You can actually remove the base cap and then the mug will "zoom", so maybe I do have a zoomable model. In any case, taking off the skinny base cap and "zooming" the lens just makes an already unstable product even more so. Yes, the product is a little unstable. It has a 4" top and a 2" bottom. Sort of goes without saying that it's tippy. Just don't bump it.
