About the Author

Dori O’Rourke, aka “Coach Dori”, is a professional golfer, an esteemed member of the LPGA, and an LPGA “Class A” Professional with 25+ years teaching experience Her influence has positively impacted the lives of thousands of men and women golfers worldwide. Born a natural athlete, competitive sports always came easy to Dori. She was an all-star softball player and tournament water skier as a young girl; winner of the Senior Athlete Award in high school for four high-achieving years of tennis, basketball, and softball; and awarded a scholarship to play tennis in college. As a junior in college, she was required to take a two-week golf class as part of her Sports Medicine major. She quickly fell in love with the sport, opting to turn in her tennis scholarship her senior year to pursue a career playing golf. Two years after taking up the game, Dori was a 3-handicap. She shot a blazing back nine score of 33 to qualify for the National Publinx Championship in Rapid City, South Dakota, and won her flight at the California State Amateur at Pebble Beach. She graduated from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California in 1983 with a degree in Sports Medicine and an emphasis in Psychology and Communication. From 1989 to 1991 she was the General Manager and Head Golf Professional at Mission Bay Golf Resort in San Diego. Since 1986, she has been a national speaker and seminar leader, including featured clinic instructor for the Al Geiberger “Mr. 59” and Lee Elder Boys and Girls Club charity tournaments. This book is so awesome!!! even if you arent a golfer you can take the principles elsewhere...like Tennis for me :)...definitely a quick easy read but principles you can use for a life time!!!

I loved this book!! I'm not even a golfer,however "I Found
the Golf God" is not just about golf. Ms. O'Rourke wrote
this easy to read book about LIFE improvement and then
relates it to golf in a way we can all understand.My
favorite part is "The 10 Secrets of Life".If you incorporate
even 1 or 2 of these "secrets" into your daily life, you
will definitly enjoy life more.
