5.0 out of 5 stars simple yes, bujt completely effective
This book either gets one star or five stars because it is simple - but highly effective. In it, there are no "rules" or scientifc methods to make your future happen, instead, it is based upon one's intentions and personal beliefs. 1.0 out of 5 stars Deceptive
I bought this book hoping for some kind of strategy points on the hitting lottery. What this book gives you instead is a course in "positive thinking" which would be fine, if I were buying a book on that subject. Winning the lottery and this book have nothing in common.

So anyone looking for scientific methods will be dissappointed; anyone looking to become the sole arbiter of their own futrue, will be thrilled. That's what I was looking for and this delivered in spades. This is exactly the kind of book that will put the onus on the individual to make their individual dreams come true. So don't expect this to hand you some pat method to get rich. Open your mind and create your own riches. This is a very good book for that.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, July 31, 2003

Over half the page count is just a listing of all the United States and Canada Lottery offices. It maybe has 50 pages of content, double-spaced and very generalized information. No specifics about his story and there are much better visualization books out there. Save your money...buy Lotto tickets with it!

1.0 out of 5 stars This Book Is A Waste Of Your Money, June 29, 2003
By A Customer

Basically, the message of this book is, "You can win the lottery if you just think positively about it." Which is ridiculous, of course. You can win the lottery even if you're a pessimistic jerk about it. Not buying a ticket is the only thing that disqualifies you from winning. The people who run the lottery systems don't know or care how you feel about it. Some reviewers have said this is a good book for changing your "life perspective". Whatever. I'm sure Amazon has a Self Help section with many books on that subject, and they probably aren't as deceptive as this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent manual for money and life!, August 3, 2001

He definitely tells you how to win the lottery, but he uses the lottery as a metaphor too. This is really a book about how to become self-reliant, and how to become conscious of living your life while in full control. In other words, he didn't preach like John Gray does, instead he gives you the tools to alter your own perception of your own life - and in the process make it be exactly what you want it to be. Including having as much money as you can dream..... I gave this 5 stars and I really mean it - this little book can help you change your life for the better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, June 4, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Found Money - How To Consciously Win The Lottery (Paperback)
I have purchased Lottery books in the past and I admit I have not won the lottery using the recommendations provided to me but at least they tried to take a scientific approach to the lottery system. This book basically tells you to that anyone can win the lottery if they meditate and use visualization. The author even suggests visualizing winning money and practicing the "ommmm" technique. The book is approximatey 108 pages long. The author dedicates 35 pages listing every lottery headquarters in the United States with the address and phone number. The book could have been 5 pages and that would have been enough. I think the description of the book is misleading. If I were interested in meditation, I would have bought a book about Yoga. I was very disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Even Desire a 1 star, July 9, 2001

Poorest excuse for a "book" I have run across. Very deceptive title. Mostly psychobabble metaphysics with no meaningful discussion of lotteries at all. A list of lotteries and contact information is about one-half of the "book".

2.0 out of 5 stars save your money for therapist or lottery, June 2, 2004
This review is from: Found Money - How To Consciously Win The Lottery (Paperback)
The following quote comes from the author Keith Ryan himself: "Our lives are good, and we made that happen, and I have been observing how we did it ever since I realized that we did it." Hmmmm, if you understand that strange logic, then perhaps you'll grasp some benefit from this disturbing little manual - that, at best, diverts money away from state lotteries and directly into the hands of the author. In that sense, he is effectively using the concept of "lottery" to enrich his own self-proclaimed idyllic and scenic life by the lake with his psychologist wife. So I'll give the book two stars for being at least authoritative in a shifty, sort of tongue-in-cheek way.

While his website can be mildly amusing, when not as disturbing as this book, (and his love for animals is endearing), I sincerely hope he is getting proper treatment from his live-in shrink. For this work is like the Benny Hinn of the publishing/lottery/psycho-something or other realms, truly failing to satisfy at any level; and leaving one simply perplexed and suspicious that we probably WOULD have won the lottery had we spent the price of the book on lottery tickets.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Little Book That Could, August 10, 2009
By
This review is from: Found Money - How To Consciously Win The Lottery (Paperback)
Like others, I was looking for a book to give me strategies to win the lottery but what I got was worth much, much, more. It took me a couple tries of what he was trying to say but in a nutshell it's you are what you think you are, if you think you're a winner and that everything works out for you-it will. If you think you're a loser, you will continue to attract situations in your life that will prove you so. If you read or follow the teachings of The Secret, he's saying what every contributor is saying but on much simpler terms. I haven't won the lottery but I have won many prizes in the past five years since I first read this book. I consciously tried to win trips and other things by following what he says to do in this book. I've won 14 trips to places like NYC, Disneyworld, St.Barts, Nascar, San Diego, Vegas twice. Won a diamond necklace worth $5,000, 9 ipods, 4 video cameras, dvd players, digital cameras, gift cards from $5 to $1000, lots of cash. I could go on and on...yes, I've won small prizes on the lottery and I'll come back and let you know when I win a huge jackpot!

5.0 out of 5 stars Empowering little book, July 25, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Found Money - How To Consciously Win The Lottery (Paperback)
I love what he says on his website, so I bought the book. It was, without a doubt, the greatest pep talk anybody has ever given me! Basically, he gives me credit for being smart enough to make anything I want of my life. How refreshing is that? Do you know how good it feels to have someone believe in you instead of tearing you down for being a failure? I found it hugely empowering. I am very glad I read it and I give it 5 stars because I would recommend it to anyone. This is one of those small little things that can make a really big difference.
