FFH has certainly "Found a Place".....,
By Ronda (Columbia, MO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Found a Place (Audio CD)
Anxiously awaiting this follow-up CD and thinking it couldn't possibly compare to their first effort, I was very pleasantly surprised to find it at least just as good, if not a tinge better, than I Want to Be Like You. Once again, the band shares in the songwriting, and the words expressed are full of praise and worship to our Almighty God. The harmonies are awesome, whether it be a slow song or a faster and lively one. Among favorites are "Lord Move, or Move Me", a moving (no pun intended!!!) song about totally trusting God and laying ourselves aside, as well as His faithfulness. One of the "fun" songs, "Daniel", talks about the Old Testament heroes such as Daniel in the lion's den and Moses parting the seas and tells us we can do anything (with God's help, of course!!!). If you ever get a chance to see FFH in concert, they WON'T disappoint. They did a lengthy and wonderful praise and worship segment, beginning with a really neat version of "I'll Fly Away". I'm looking forward to the next concert coming up and hope they repeat that segment. If you have a hard day or just plain want to worship, put the CD on, lay back, close your eyes, and I dare you to think about something other than God!!!

If You Liked the First Album, You Will Love This One!,
By Michael Fisher (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Found a Place (Audio CD)
FFH has produced one of the best Christian albums in my collection with its new album Found a Place. This album comes out of the gate strong with "When I Praise" and it certainly does not lose its stride. In fact, it gets better and better! The title track has a wonderful blend of guitar and vocals. "Found a Place" is a great example of FFH's vocal ability and harmonies that are extremely good throughout their sophomore release. I liked their first album, I Want to Be Like You, but all eleven songs on the newest release are strong. One of the most pleasant surprises for me was Jennifer Deibler. She sings three songs and they are a considerable improvement from her effort on the last album. FFH has stuck to lyrics that are simple yet inspirational, while not leaving you wondering what they are singing about. Many songs in this album could be used as great praise and worship songs. Songs such as "Daniel", "Because of Who You Are", and "Be My Glory" are great examples of this praise and worship component. One of the most compelling choruses on this album can be found in the title of the song "I'm Not Afraid to Love You." Trusting God and not being afraid to step out and surrender our lives to Him. Their quest to be more like Jesus is quite clear in this album. This album contains a good mix of upbeat praise songs to quiet prayers like "Every Now and Then" which has a wonderful mix of acoustic guitar, violin, and congas. FFH certainly did not change their signature sound. They refined it and made it even better with Found a Place. This CD is a must have and I promise you will be touched and inspired by it!

Found a place into my CD player...,

To be honest I didn't care much for this CD when I first bought it. I had downloaded some FFH MP3s and was expecting songs more similar to their previous CD "I Want to Be Like You". I listened to it a few times anyway though and it grew on me. Not long after that I had some devastating events in my life and some of these songs became very important to me. "Every Now and Then" and Lord, Move or Move Me" both deal with those times when we are not able to find the words to pray and we need the strength of the Lord to get us through the day. "When I Praise" and "I'm Not Afraid To Love You" both speak about sharing our faith and not being ashamed of it.I also liked that I was able to find the lyric sheets, explanations of the songs and the scriptural support for the songs on the bands website at: ... Why 5 stars:?
