5.0 out of 5 stars FFH has certainly "Found a Place".....
Anxiously awaiting this follow-up CD and thinking it couldn't possibly compare to their first effort, I was very pleasantly surprised to find it at least just as good, if not a tinge better, than I Want to Be Like You. Once again, the band shares in the songwriting, and the words expressed are full of praise and worship to our Almighty God. The harmonies are awesome,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent...but wanted more
Let me first say that I am a huge fan of FFH. Their worshipful lyrics, and incredible harmonies make them one of my favorite contemporary Christian artists. I guess I just expected more from this album. I really felt it was just more of the same stuff they released on their last album. I like it when an artist "pushes the envelope" in their new releases,...

The harmonies are awesome, whether it be a slow song or a faster and lively one. Among favorites are "Lord Move, or Move Me", a moving (no pun intended!!!) song about totally trusting God and laying ourselves aside, as well as His faithfulness. One of the "fun" songs, "Daniel", talks about the Old Testament heroes such as Daniel in the lion's den and Moses parting the seas and tells us we can do anything (with God's help, of course!!!). If you ever get a chance to see FFH in concert, they WON'T disappoint. They did a lengthy and wonderful praise and worship segment, beginning with a really neat version of "I'll Fly Away". I'm looking forward to the next concert coming up and hope they repeat that segment. If you have a hard day or just plain want to worship, put the CD on, lay back, close your eyes, and I dare you to think about something other than God!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars If You Liked the First Album, You Will Love This One!, March 17, 2000

This review is from: Found a Place (Audio CD)
FFH has produced one of the best Christian albums in my collection with its new album Found a Place. This album comes out of the gate strong with "When I Praise" and it certainly does not lose its stride. In fact, it gets better and better! The title track has a wonderful blend of guitar and vocals. "Found a Place" is a great example of FFH's vocal ability and harmonies that are extremely good throughout their sophomore release. I liked their first album, I Want to Be Like You, but all eleven songs on the newest release are strong. One of the most pleasant surprises for me was Jennifer Deibler. She sings three songs and they are a considerable improvement from her effort on the last album. FFH has stuck to lyrics that are simple yet inspirational, while not leaving you wondering what they are singing about. Many songs in this album could be used as great praise and worship songs. Songs such as "Daniel", "Because of Who You Are", and "Be My Glory" are great examples of this praise and worship component. One of the most compelling choruses on this album can be found in the title of the song "I'm Not Afraid to Love You." Trusting God and not being afraid to step out and surrender our lives to Him. Their quest to be more like Jesus is quite clear in this album. This album contains a good mix of upbeat praise songs to quiet prayers like "Every Now and Then" which has a wonderful mix of acoustic guitar, violin, and congas. FFH certainly did not change their signature sound. They refined it and made it even better with Found a Place. This CD is a must have and I promise you will be touched and inspired by it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Found a place into my CD player..., December 26, 2001
This review is from: Found a Place (Audio CD)
To be honest I didn't care much for this CD when I first bought it. I had downloaded some FFH MP3s and was expecting songs more similar to their previous CD "I Want to Be Like You". I listened to it a few times anyway though and it grew on me. Not long after that I had some devastating events in my life and some of these songs became very important to me. "Every Now and Then" and Lord, Move or Move Me" both deal with those times when we are not able to find the words to pray and we need the strength of the Lord to get us through the day. "When I Praise" and "I'm Not Afraid To Love You" both speak about sharing our faith and not being ashamed of it.

I also liked that I was able to find the lyric sheets, explanations of the songs and the scriptural support for the songs on the bands website at: ...

Why 5 stars:?
The mix of music will keep you tapping your feet at times and somber and reflecting upon the glory of God at others. The lyrics are very powerful and the scriptural basis for each song is provided on their website. This CD is highly recommended!!!

FFH has outdone themselves. If you liked I Want to be Like You then you will love this cd. While it's not labeled as a worship and praise it has some great w&p songs. It just fires me up every time I listen to it.

I can not say enough about this CD. I went to the local christian bookstore the other say and they had a demo of it. I listened to all of the songs and was very impressed. Very few times in life have I gotten a CD and loved every song. I went home and pre-ordered it from Amazon. I can not wait to get it. This is a must buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every song is wonderful!, March 3, 2002

I don't write too many Amazon reveiws but felt this was worth the effort. I was aware of some of FFH's songs but didn't really have much exposure until I saw them in concert with Point of Grace (ironically, we went to see PoG and ended up loving FFH).

Anyway this was the first FFH CD I purchased. Although I like all their CDs, this one I believe is the best. Every single song is wonderful. I would highly recommend this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, May 17, 2001

FFH is my absolute favorite band of all. Their lyrics are so powerful and I listen to my cassette over and over again. I love all the songs, but my favorites are 'Why Do I', 'Found A Place', 'Because of Who You Are', 'When I Praise', and 'Your Love Is Life To Me'. Basically that is all the songs, and I could easily list all of them. 'When I Praise' is a really up-beat song and will put a smile on your face no matter what mood you are in. It makes you just want to throw your hands up in the air and worship. 'Why do I' is also a really powerful song and I think it expresses the everyday feeling that everyone has. Why would God love a little person like me? All the songs are great and I recommend this cassette for anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars "You Can Tell They Really Love The Lord", March 9, 2002
This review is from: Found a Place (Audio CD)
The drums (courtesy of producer Scott Williamson, who produced this album and has worked with Point of Grace) snap, crackle and pop with groove and authority. FFH's tight harmonies flow in and out of sunny melodies, verifying the group's roots in a capella. Husband and wife Jeromy and Jennifer Deibler's lead vocals ache with vulnerability (Jennifer's vocals on "Your Love Is Life To Me" and "Why Do I?" are wonders, as is Jeromy's on the CD's centerpiece "Lord Move, Or Move Me") and leap with blessed assurance on "When I Praise" and "Daniel." After that, "There's a Place" is an exceptional album just for its sounds, let alone its message.

Ah, but its message! Intentionally or not, Deibler and co-writer Michael Boggs here have written a concept album examining Jesus' role as comforter and confidante and His love as safety, consistent with the group's role of winning souls to Christ. Deibler is unafraid to sing "please" as well as "thank you" to God, as in the aching "Lord Move Or Move Me" and "I'm Not Afraid To Love You." Having accepted and received the Comfort he always knew was there, Deibler and FFH leap into the exuberant "Because Of Who You Are" with snappy vocal trills at its end, while Jennifer responds with "You O Lord are a shield about me/You O Lord are my refuge..." opening "Be My Glory."

Hadn't bought a Christian rock album in nearly 20 years before a friend recommended FFH as a sincere, positive music alternative.(She also supplied my title quote.)It's a great soundtrack for a new way to live...thanks C&CJ for recommending FFH to me, I wholeheartedly recommend "There's a Place" to you. It's exciting, fresh Christian acoustic pop from a group whose best singing and ministering years are ahead of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pray, Listen and Wait, December 28, 2000

If there is anything you are facing that is beyond you, pray about it, listen to the song, Lord Move, or Move me and Wait for God to answer your prayers. This song alone digs deep into a strong and spiritual filled life and hit the heart of god's love and mercy for our lives. Give it to God and wait for his will. Either He will move your challenge or he will move you. What an amazing way the writer captures a little vision of God.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, Great Music!, July 8, 2000
This review is from: Found a Place (Audio CD)
When I first heard the song "When I Praise" on KLOVE radio, I knew I just had to have that CD. I below to a Christian CD club that I joined over the internet, and this was one of the first CDs I got. The music is so fantastic. And not just the first song "When I Praise", but every single song on the CD was beautiful. My daughter is a teenager and she wants to have her own CD of this one and another one I'm rating by Newsong.

If you like great music about Jesus, get FFH's Found a Place. You won't be sorry.
