BRIAN IS A FOUND TREASURE,
This review is from: Found Treasures (Audio CD)
The only problem with a talent such as Brian De Lorenzo is that he doesn't record more. Few vocalists can communicate the sheer joy of presenting a song as Brian. You want an eclectic, surprising collection of wonderful songs? You want a singer with grace, terrific phrasing and style to spare? You want this CD. And, for gosh sakes, where else are you going to hear two beautiful numbers from the forgotten Broadway musical "Angel"?

Beautiful & Moving,
This review is from: Found Treasures (Audio CD)
Brian De Lorenzo has an exceptional tenor voice, and his esoteric selection of songs is extremely appealing and refreshing (especially if one is tired of cabaret artists rendering the same tired numbers). His intensity and sincerity are extremely evident. This is really a beautiful and moving compilation. I look forward to his next album.

An outstanding singer with a great, passionate, intense tenor voice. Just magnificent. His rendition of, what I feel is one of Sondheims most beautiful and powerful ballads, and goes largely unperformed, No One Has Ever Loved Me (As You Have), from Passion, is extrordinary.
This guy needs to record more, amazing! |
