where you might have listened to it previously. Then you realize that
there is such a familiarity in all of the songs on this album that Trina
Hamlin has done something all soulful pop musicians wish they could do:
revivify. At first I thought One Good Reason sounded like Tina Turner's
earlier amazing work. You Can't Remember is moving and soft at the
beginning but builds to this chilling intensity that gets in your blood.
This honest, brilliant cd manages to highlight a distinct voice (and one
hell of a harmonica player) and sound utterly new while constantly
referring to its obvious blues, soul and alternative pop roots. A unity
is achieved as these sounds fuse together. In a word, impressive. In
five, impressive, impressive, impressive, impressive, impressive."

One of most interesting, soulful and musically intense cd from far ! I absolutely love and suggest this all round interesting album, from lyrics to the music . It's really full of LOVE . Thank you, Trina !

I bought this CD after having had the pleasure of seeing this artist in person. I do love the CD but I think I was spoiled by having first heard Trina in person. She is an awesome singer/songwriter/storyteller but as much as I like this CD, I have to say it doesn't quite reflect the power of her personality/talent/voice that I got when I heard her perform live. More a reflection of the CD maybe than of the artist or maybe it's just all about the nice intimacy of a live performance vs. recorded music. Who knows. Nonetheless, I recommend the CD for the thoughtful lyrics, great music & amazing voice. But if you have a chance to hear Trina live, don't miss it!

I have recently become the proud owner of her "Foundation"
CD. I am completely mesmerized and I find myself pushing the replay button each time the CD ends, and it always seems to end way to soon.

I recently saw Trina Hamlin for the first time at a local house concert. I was totally impressed and bought this cd after the show. From her fun description of her "Jacaronda Tree", to her sexy and bluesy rendention of the Beatles "Oh Darling", this cd grows fast on ya. And the girl can play the harmonica too !
