Book Description

May 1, 2007
There are many wonderful charitable foundations that help Americans achieve a better standard of life. But there are also thousands of wealthy tax-exempt foundations that work to undermine our free enterprise system, traditional culture and national sovereignty. Phil Kent strips the bark off of America's "charitable" tree to expose these super-rich elites for what they are political battering rams hiding under the banner of charity. The invisible government" of these left-wing foundations, the groups they fund and the politicians who fawn over them tend to operate under the cloak of secrecy. Foundations of Betrayal uncovers their devious agendas and tactics. Kent lifts the curtain to expose the shocking ways these foundations abuse their awesome power: Major foundations hijacked to attack capitalism; Billionaire George Soros targets U.S. as the main obstacle; Ford's agenda helping radical Muslims and even suicide bombers; Foundation-backed Greenpeace undermines U.S. troops; Huge grants for radical environmentalism, open borders.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Phil Kent dons his hip-boots and wades into the world of the big liberal tax-exempt foundations. What he discovers there will appall supporters of free enterprise and other American traditions. --Rich Lowry, Editor of National Review

The gargantuan power of leading left-wing foundations is put in proper perspective in Foundations of Betrayal, especially the example of how the politically correct environmental agenda is advanced. Phil Kent underscores that ideology usually matters more than charitable intent. --Tony Blankley, editorial page editor, Washington Times

5.0 out of 5 stars It Opens Your Mind, September 15, 2007
This review is from: Foundations of Betrayal: How the Liberal Super Rich Undermine America (Hardcover)
The term "must read" is used all to often in an effort to provoke someone to read a new literary creation, however, in the case of Phil Kent's new book "Foundations of Betrayal" it is quite apropos. This new book which emphasizes "How the Liberal $uper Rich Undermine America" creates a new thought process in it's readers as it evokes you to think about a subject that has not previously crossed the minds of many Americans. Rather than filling a void with information concerning a subject not previously considered, it creates a vacuum which entices the reader to pursue more facts and data on the topic. As stated previously, "must read" is quite appropriate in the description of Mr. Kent's new book.

I will buy this book, after seeing the author on CSpan2 Book TV. It documents efforts to subvert USA soverinty by Foundations who give to terrorist organizations, and work against the USA goals.

It's interesting, isn't it, how there are so many books about those crazy "leftist" liberals who are singlehandedly ruining America. Kent makes much of the funding of terrorism, the bleeding hearts who make us unsafe...Uh, what about the CEOs who have pillaged our economy? What about ENRON? Unocal? The utility companies in California who jacked up bills by several hundred percent? What about the vanishing money in Iraq? (Some of our tax dollars, no doubt.) What about the proof of stolen elections in 2000 and 2004? No, you won't find those things in this book. Just a bunch of rich do-gooders who apparently are worse than the Bin Laden family--who were whisked out of the US---no questions asked--on Sept. 12, 2001.
