Great DVD,
This review is from: Foundations of Character Homeschool Curriculum Kit (Drive Thru History America) (Paperback)
This is a wonderful DVD series. My children (9,8,5) have loved watching the movie segments about the characters from American history. There are even some that I had never heard of. Mr. Stotts puts a humorous twist on his narratives of each person that keeps the viewer very involved. I highly recommend this video.

Never before have American's needed to learn more about their CHRISTIAN history.Back when politicians were not all corrupt and spending us into debt like children with their Daddy's credit card. My kids loved this program!

Lying for Jesus,

This curriculum is designed to mis-educate, and is based on Barton's distorted view of American history. His core arguments (for example, on the separation of Church and State) are thoroughly debunked (with copious evidence and quotes from the Founding Fathers themselves) in well-researched studies like Chris Rodda's Liars For Jesus: The Religious Right's Alternate Version of American History Vol. 1. I have a Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University, and I was stunned at the outright fabrications Barton foists off on his readers. Separation of Church and State is not a plot cooked up by Godless leftists -- it's the underpinning of a Republic that was founded on the ideal of religious freedom. Unless you're paranoid enough to believe that mainstream American History scholars have all conspired to conceal the "truth" Barton claims to reveal, you'd be well advised to choose better researched and more accurate study plans for your home-schooled kids.

Propaganda at its worst,

Cherry-picks its subject matter in order to make its point that America is a Christian nation. Ignores founders like Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson while distorting the views of George Washington and John Adams. In no way should this DVD set be construed as an attempt to teach history. It is quite simply a tool for the indoctrination of children.
