I found the writing style, use of illustrations, logical conceptual building and overall presentation to be very interesting and even enjoyable. Hickman, Hunter, and Byrd have put more meat into the sandwich compared to other competitor books.
I believe student ratings of their textbook will go up if the department or faculty adopt this book.
Overall, this is a first-rate text...The applications orientation of this text is among the strongest I have seen.

About the Author
Kent A. Hickman is an associate professor at Gonzaga University. He earned a Ph.D. in finance at Washington State University after completing an M.S. in applied statistics at the University of Northern Colorado. His B.A. in mathematics is from California State University at San Bernardino. Before pursuing a doctorate, Professor Hickman worked for five years as an investment analyst.
