nice book ...,
By Bernd Lamberts "bernd.lamberts@hgst.com" (San Jose, California USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Foundations of Magnetic Recording 2E, Second Edition (Hardcover)
its a nice book, good reading in the evening ... unfortunately there are two catches.
a) its a bit outdated, which should not surprise anyone considering the pace by which the magnetic recording industry has evolved b) its a bit thin, in the true meaning of the word, as well as to the degree to which problems are being treated in depth the book is very conceptual and gives a good overview for those who are looking to acquire a conceptual insight into magnetic recording for those who need a more upto date and indepth treatise, maybe the book by Bertram is a better choise |
