This ink, like most blue inks for fountain pens, dries to a lighter hue than most blue inks from ballpoint and rollerball/gel pens. It is even on the lighter side of blue inks for fountain pens. It is washable, so parents can give it to children without worrying. It is erasable/eradicable by eradicators like the Pelikan Super-Pirat, which is convenient for students. It is not safe for writing checks. It is well-behaved on bad paper. It is popular with fountain pen enthusiasts, but I have found better blue inks.

Parker makes excellent fountain pens. Though they are becoming harder to find, the Parker Reflex is an economy fountain pen that comes with this ink standard. This ink has a nice blue tone with subtle gradations as you write. The appearance is pleasing and the quality is high. This ink should not disappoint you.

This ink is washable, so parents can give it to children without worrying. It can be eradicated/erased by sulfate-sulfite eradicators like the Pelikan Super-Pirat, which is convenient for students (note: the eradicator does leave a very faint, yellow-gray trace). Many blue fountain pen inks are lighter than ballpoint and rollerball/gel blue inks, and this one is on the lighter side of the blue fountain pen inks. This color is popular among fountain pen enthusiasts.
