Fountains of Gold is a special collaboration of simple poetry written by myself and beautiful artwork done by Jon Anderson of the rock group YES. He writes in his introduction: "Hi, Wendy was one of the first people I met on the 'net', she would send these very sweet and simple poems, I told her she should put together a book of poems and I would love to paint for them. They are magical in the way they speak volumes, yet not many words appear in front of your eyes, well, just sit back and drink some tea and enjoy this very unique book." "This is a unique item-a magazine-size book of original poems by writer poet and musician Wendy Vig, with original artwork and introduction by YES vocalist Jon Anderson. Vig sent some poems to Anderson via e-mail, and was encour- aged by him to publish her work. To help things along, Anderson decided to accompany the impressionistic verse with some of his personal watercolor paintings. The combination is natural and refreshing.

About the Author
I was born in Japan and have spent most of my life living in California. In Highschool I graduated with The Bank of America Award for Fine Arts. After highschool I traveled to England and Denmark where I wrote and painted for about 6 months. When I returned home I began working with Handicapped Children and got married. I started writing Fountains of Gold in August of 95. I had a one woman art show in Benicia California in 96. After Fountains of Gold was published in 97, I was invited to attend a "YEStival" in Cherry Hill New Jersey last year. This was a fun convention for the band "YES" and their fans. My book was featured there. Also while I was there I was featured on a New York City Show called,"Art's Insight" When I returned home I was invited by a group of poets from Orange County to do a "Poetry Performance" It went well and was a lot of fun. I continue to write and paint almost everyday.

Poetry & Paintings of Light & Love,

When I was online I read that Jon Anderson (whom I hold in high regard as a poet among other things) was so moved by another poets angelic words (Wendy Vig) that he offered to paint for a book of 'WENDYpoems' as he put it, I recognized 'the calling' and immediately contacted Wendy by email offering to do an album using her words, the same words that had inspired Jon, sight unseen, as lyric... Wendy loved the idea and now the album is complete! Several very interesting people have played on the recordings, including Jordan Rudess - Keyboardist, Ray Gomez - Guitarist, Eduardo DelSignore - Bass After recieving Wendy Vig's words with Jon Anderson's beautiful watercolors... it was magical!!! The melodies literally leapt from Wendy's words combined with Jon's serene paintings!! . I reccommend this book VERY highly, it is full of inspiration and has had a positive impact on my life, it will touch you too!

This book of poems is very special. I could feel it the day I received it and read the poems. Each Page has wonderful watercolor artwork by Jon Anderson. You can read it daily and just think all day about the poem that stays with you that day. Each day I carefuly read this fragile book of poems and read into something I didnt notice the first time I read it. I highly recomend this book of poems and artwork. Rob S.

Wendy's book is very beautiful. Not only are the poems insightful and enlightening, but Jon Anderson's artwork provides a unique view on both her work and in the workings of a modern artist who usually is known for his own poetry. Reading the poems and enjoying the paintings provides a nice respite from the normal material one reads.
