i think its pretty low for meyers to write a book talking about marines that were just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. If he felt that way about all the marines in his company, why did he not say it to their face? because he is a girl that's why! No one has even read this piece of crap anyway.
It sounded like he read Jarhead a million times and tried write his own version except he was less talented. Meyers was not even in the company for the first two years he was doing Pog duties because he was a total turd! I wasnt the best marine in all fairness, but i would NEVER write a book talking smack about fellow marines and pretend im some sort of bigshot! Cmon Meyers! Admit that you were a complete turd!

I am the author and this book SUCKS!,
This review is from: Four in the Corps: From Boot Camp to Baghdad- One Grunt's Enlistment (Paperback)
Hi, I wrote this book and it sucks. No, this isn't some childish prank. I really am the author, Richard C. Meyer, and I am not proud of this book. I self-published 5 years ago, thinking it would only be online for one year but it just never goes away. I am currently trying to get it taken down.
Why do I think it sucks? Too much whining and "telling tales out of school." Nothing in it is untrue, but in retrospect, really should have kept many of these stories to myself. In short, the Marines was the best part of my life and I should have written a more positive portrayal. DON'T BUY THIS BOOK!!!! |
