Product Description

In this 20 page article I discuss our four day trip to Barcelona. The article presents a day-by-day account of the tours taken; fast facts about notable aspects of the trip; the itinerary; planning notes; and resources used. Selected photos from our trip are also included.
The tours included: Afternoon Tapas Tour (Walking); Gourmet Tour (Walking); The Gaudí Tour (Bus); Montjuic & Panarama Tour (Bus); Picasso Tour (Walking); Trixi Tour (Pedicab); La Ramblas; and the Hop-on/Hop-off tourism bus.
Fast facts regarding Barcelona, La Ramblas, Gaudí, Tapas, Tour costs and Our accommodation are dispersed throughout the article.
The Trixi Tour (Pedicab), Gaudi Tour (Bus), Picasso Museum (Walking), and Tapas Tour (Walking) were the highlights of the trip. The Gourmet Food Tour and the Montjuïc and Panoramic Tour were disappointments. The article also discusses lessons learned from this type of trip.
Icons visited during the trip included: La Ramblas, La Boqueria Market, Sagrada Familia, Park Gűell, Picasso Museum, Poble Espanyol, Placa de Catalunya, Gothic Quarter, La Ribera, Placa Sant Felip Neri, La Placa del Rei, Placa Reial, and Placa Sant Jaume.

This review is from: Four Days in Barcelona (Kindle Edition)
I liked the informative and down to earth style of the Author. When we get to Barcelona ourselves we can put into practice what we have learnt from his recommendations. Knowing which tours are winners when you only have a short time available is priceless information. I would recommend this well written book to anyone planning a trip to Barcelona.

More About the Author

OS Wayfarer will chart my journey from international development assistance specialist (project management, monitoring and evaluation, and tender writing) to travel, feature and business writer.

My tender management and writing was informed by over 25 years as a development assistance consultant and by an intimate knowledge of the tendering process. I really enjoyed this tendering work - in essence it was putting together a story, albeit a non-fictional story. The deadlines, research, planning, interviewing, writing and presentation for each tender were all consuming and satisfying, yet exhausting at the end.

I do not wish to retire but I do want to "transition to retirement" and travel a lot more for pleasure. So why not write about some of the travels and also write about professional aspects of my development assistance work? From what I can see this self-publishing caper is a lot like tender preparation.

So I intend to write, publish and market articles (as eBooks) about project monitoring, tendering and travel. I want to learn everything about this exciting process.

Oh, and I am a sucker for technology - I do enjoy my Kindle, DSLR camera, notebook, smartphone and digital voice recorder!

I welcome your feedback as I learn to write, publish and market these eBooks.
