Beignet Yisrael is truly original and a wonderful CD. I have had the priviledge of meeting these musicians and seeing them live. This CD is a must for every Jew.

I have to repeat myself I love this album. It just takes my breath away every time I hear it. I lent it to someone who I felt had to hear it, got distracted with other events in life over a few years & don't remember who I lent it to! I miss it so much. Please make a download, something!! This is a fabulous disk, whose appeal is not limited to Jews. The disk contains new renditions of several traditional Jewish songs, plus some original material. The music is primarily conveyed through the voices, and the instrumental portions simply support the voices. This means it really matters that the voices are good (and they are).

I love the musical jokes on this album, and I love to listen to it. It's a great disk for singing along with on a long drive, which brings me to my one minor complaint. The sound level on the songs is not consistent, so when I am driving, I have to keep turning the volume up and down, as each song is at a different level or loudness, and if it's loud enough to hear "Listen" over the engine noise, "Bashanah Haba'ah" will deafen me.
