i heard one song off this and was so driven to find out about this band that i picked this up and then then entire Kiss Off's discography as well!!every song on here's a keeper!! highlights are "W.W.D.Y.D", a little love song as throught the eyes of Doug Yule, what would he do??? every song's a winner....BR>and to think, in less than a month, there'll be more!! along with a tour!!! hot dang.

Simpple melodic and fun, fun, fun! Quirky lyrics and male - female vocal play allmost make you forget that they're singing about staying all night long and getting drunk. The perfect thing to listen to while you trash a hotel room. Their songs are deceptively simple and full of hooks that will suck you into a world of rock and role excess. If you liked The Kiss Offs then you'll love The Black Lipstick.

I bought this because the two guitarists were in the Kiss Offs, one of my favorite live bands, and this did not disappoint. Less frantic & playful than the kiss offs, but just as clever and ROCK&ROLL. Kids will dig this long, long, long time...
