My cat loves being brushed with it and it does a great job getting hairs before they end up on the couch.

This is THE BEST brush for removing cat hair! I have looked absolutely everywhere in stores that carry FourPaws products and seems all of them have stopped carrying this item. BAD move. I work in a no-kill shelter with over 200 cats. I spend the majority of my time cleaning cat trees to reduce the transfer of hair born diseases. I've tried them all, and THIS brush is the ONLY one I will ever use again. Being rubber, it'll last forever, so it's also a mighty good economical deal. Thanks Amazon for carrying this!!!!

The online description is not quite accurate. I tried this out on one of my long hair cats and it picked up virtually nothing! I was a bit perplexed and then read the package. I will quote from the back of the package. "Four Paws kitty curry brush is an outstanding product for SHORTHAIRED cats." I was disappointed as my only shorthair kitty which was 19 years old had just passed away.

However, I had read the reviews before ordering and someone had commented on how great this was for cleaning cat trees. So, before writing a critical review I tried it on my two Armarkat cat trees which are light beige in color. I was totally amazed at the amount of fur it picked up. Keep in mind that I clean these on a regular basis with a sticky lint brush and vacuum cleaner. In minutes I had a huge ball of fur and lint with very little effort on my part. One of the trees is the fur type carpet and it cleaned it the best. The other is a lambswool type of carpet and a little more effort is needed since it is a denser carpet. Another plus is that one side of this is grooved in the center and is perfect for cleaning edges on the cat trees.

As other reviewers have stated, this is a quality made product that appears high grade rubber. The package does not state the material composition.

While I cannot use it for my original intent on my long hair cats, it is ideal for cleaning the cat trees and for that I give it 5 stars!

I have a 5 month old Singapura and he has buried the other two brushes I've bought for him in his litter box. But before he buried them he would bite all the bristles out. I couldn't figure out why he hates being brushed so much but I figured I'd give this one a try. He loves it! He actually goes to sleep while I'm brushing him. And will even meow at the brush for me to brush him. It does remove a lot of hair BUT it doesn't stick to the brush very well. His hair is on every surface in a 3 foot radius- my clothes, the bed, my face, it's just everywhere. But since he loves it so much I'm willing to lint roll everything just like when I wasn't brushing him at all! So if anyone has any tips on getting the hair to stick to the brush I would appreciate it!

I have owned one of these brushes for 5 years, and it is still soft and in new condition. My cat Anya, a Russian Blue, likes it, and it definitely helps get the loose hairs before they find my clothes and bed. I bought it for our lab/collie mix but it didn't seem to do as good a job on her. We now have a Silky Terrier, and he likes it, but since he doesn't shed, it's not as effective on him. I have also tried it on our chinchilla, and it does not work well on her. But, for short-haired cats, it's great!

My cats shed all over the place, thus, the need for a brush. This one- well, better than nothing. A friend of mine has a much better one, with longer teeth that catches more hair. The teeth on this are a little shallow and don't catch that much in the brush. They more just disturb the hair off of the feline coat. If anyone can recommend a decent one to me, I would appreciate it. Just could be designed better.

We received one of these brushes when we adopted our cats. Because the cats like it so much, I bought the second one so we can have a brush on each floor of our house. The only negative about the curry brush is that I have to frequently stop to pull the hair out of it. It's gentle on the cats' short fur and they like it so I can put up with this little inconvenience.

Works great! My cat has short hair. The only down side is that the hair falls on the floor and gets messy... but does the best job of removing loose hair and undercoat. My cat personally does not like it and bites / scratches me while grooming. Also would recommend not to leave curry brush in cats reach... my cat for whatever reason tries to eat it maybe because he likes the rubber smell. It also works great on pulling cat hair off of furniture and clothes. I use it daily, dry or wet. Love it!
