What can I say? This is another classic recorded by Neil Young and one of the few that was not actually written by Neil.

I'm a fan of cowboy songs and although this song is thought of as a folk song it was really written by a cowboy from western Canada, Ian Tyson. Neil Young said this song inspired him as a songwriter and this is a great version.

Though written and originally recorded by Ian Tyson, this has always been one of my favorite Neil Young tunes, and with Nicolette Larson wonderful harmony and Young's strumming guitar, the wistful, and lonely melody about moving on and all those things that won't change come what may. You can almost imagine the winds of a Canadain winter blowing strong. A gem
