Book Description

June 1, 1982
"Humanism is the most dangerous religion ever foisted upon mankind. It subtly attacks the very heart, mind and soul of people of all ages. Christians need to protect their children--our Christian leaders of tomorrow--from the corrupting influences of this deadly philosophy. I urge all concerned Christians to read Four Trojan Horses of Humanism to assist them in arming themselves for this battle."
Dr. Tim LaHaye

This review is from: Four Trojan Horses (Paperback)
In his book, Harry Conn gives the reader a crystal-clear definition of humanism as a "religion without God." He points out that humanism is not "humaneness" but "the most inhuman philosophy ever concocted on our Lord's green earth."

Based upon a solid, logical and philosophical foundation, this book proceeds to show, in well-defined terms, hos humanism has crept into psychology, sociology, politics and theology- the four "Trojan Horses," born a reared on the "Trojan Horse Farm" of a "false philosophical presupposition that has become the accepted foundation of our entire social and political order."

The author, who died in 2001 at age 87, was one of the few "Paul Reveres" of his day, alerting parents and educators to what was and is happening in our schools and universities at every level. He showed clearly that the end result of humanism which accepts and promotes legalized abortion, euthanasia, genetic engineering, birth control and homosexuality as a way of life in which society is trying to build a world view and philosophy that leaves out God and His creation and has no time for applying the principles of His Word to life situations.

In short, Conn reveals how humanism is destined to destroy mankind by the complete dehumanization of society unless we awake to the danger and apply ourselves to the task of reconstruction. We must get back to the absolutes of God's Word to avoid total destruction. There is no other way. (Merton B. Osborn, Ed.D.)

Quotes from the book...

"True Christianity is worth dying for, but this will not be perceived until it (Christianity) has been purged of cheap grace, easy believism, and humanistic motives brought in by the theological Trojan Horse."

"The greatest problem we have in the United States is not ignorance. It is in believing things and concepts that are not true."

"The Bible is the only book of "Preventative psychology" ever written."

"Humanism is the most inhumane philosophy ever perpetrated."

This book is short and too the point. It's a good primer on the subject of Humanism in our culture. Think of this book as the beginning spot to study from. It should definitely be in the hands of any newly ordained minister or pastor. Plus...it contains the Humanist Manifesto 1 and 2 which must be understood if you are going to effectively argue against humanism.
