This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Fourplay...the dance of sensuality is the much-anticipated sequel to Threesome: Where Seduction, Power and Basketball Collide. Thomas resumes the story with super sexy, sassy, go-getter, Sasha Borianni, on top of her game. She is part owner of Platinum Images, a public relations firm with high profile clientele. However, as much as things change, some remain the same. Sasha is still dangerously mixing business with pleasure as she did with client/lover basketball star (Michael Jordan-ish), Phoenix Carter, in the Threesome saga. In Fourplay, she dates a "safe" banker, Jordan Ashe, a boring, materialistic client who has a dark side and a mysterious Israeli executive, Lyor Turrell, who has a hidden agenda. The foursome is rounded out with unresolved issues dealing with ex-fiancé (Trent) and the drama is compounded even more when Lyor attempts to blackmail Phoenix.Although the author attempts to portray Sasha as a savvy, smart entrepreneur who jets across the country to handle her business; this reader noted that she earned her major contracts after she performs sexual favors with her key clients, leaving one to question what true "business" skills Sasha possesses. She continually leaves common sense unchecked at the bedroom door and usually ends up used and abused by all of her lovers in some way. The author depicts her flaws in this manner to show a human, vulnerable side to a woman whose outward appearance would lead people to believe she is in total control and has it going on. We see her worry about her son, grieve for a father, and suffer debilitating panic attacks that seem to be curable largely with sex and Paxil. Reading between the "sexcapades," I found the plot (which mainly consisted of Sasha juggling her lovers and sexual desires) to be weak and somewhat of an afterthought mixed in between the numerous sex scenes. While I really enjoyed Threesome, I found Fourplay somewhat dull. However, if you are in the mood for mindless, light erotica then Fourplay could prove to be satisfying. Also, I think Fourplay will also prove to be more meaningful and pertinent to readers if Threesome is read first.

Dancing With Wolves...,
By Talented Tenth Reviewer "The Literary Cafe" (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Brenda L. Thomas is a prolific writer and I look forward to her next novel. Her novels are entertaining with just enough sexuality to keep you turning the pages.Sasha Borianni has established her company, Platinum Imagines, into a top public relations firm. And with her savvy business skills and take charge attitude, she has garnered top clients. But in the process of juggling business and pleasure, Sasha becomes entangled with four different men each with their own agenda. To make matters worse her ex-boss and lover, NBA Supterstar Phoenix Carter, is being blackmailed by another one of the men in her life. What is a woman to do? I loved Fourplay. And I expect Brenda's next novel to be just as entertaining. Anita Shari Peterson

Visit Sasha's World,
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Sasha Borianni leads the life that most of us never will. Not only is she gorgeous, she has a wonderful job and many men who would love to spend quality time with her. Fourplay....the dance of sensuality is the long awaited sequel to Threesome...where love and basketball collide. I'm a big basketball fan, so I picked up Threesome as soon as it came out and enjoyed it thoroughly and shared it with friends. In Fourplay, Sasha has several men courting her attention (Phoenix, Trent, Jordan and Lyor). Although the title is Fourplay, this is not some sleazy, kinky book. Although it's definitely sexy and stimulating, it's not a trashy romance novel. This book is really well written, faced paced and exciting. Sasha is also a family oriented person who loves and cherishes her family members. I enjoy Brenda Thomas' writing style. In the early chapters of the book she lets the readers get into each character's psyche with select paragraphs written from the male characters point of view. Although this book isn't as basketball heavy as Threesome the sports fan will still be titillated by the book and share several inside jokes that the everyday reader might not pick up on, for example Phonenix's lawyers are with the Mitchell & Ness law firm, a clear shout out to the NBA jersey kings and longtime Philadelphia company. This book is very exciting with many twists and turns. It's sexy, adventure and will take you to a different place. Many of us lead everyday lives, but Sasha has more drama than a little bit. As Playstation says live in your world, play in ours, read Fourplay.....the dance of sensuality and spend a little time in Sasha's world and live in your world. I for one can say her life is much more exciting than mine! She may have drama but she is a lucky girl.
