Fourplay...the dance of sensuality is the much-anticipated sequel to Threesome: Where Seduction, Power and Basketball Collide. Thomas resumes the story with super sexy, sassy, go-getter, Sasha Borianni, on top of her game. She is part owner of Platinum Images, a public relations firm with high profile clientele. However, as much as things change, some remain the same. Sasha is still dangerously mixing business with pleasure as she did with client/lover basketball star (Michael Jordan-ish), Phoenix Carter, in the Threesome saga. In Fourplay, she dates a "safe" banker, Jordan Ashe, a boring, materialistic client who has a dark side and a mysterious Israeli executive, Lyor Turrell, who has a hidden agenda. The foursome is rounded out with unresolved issues dealing with ex-fiancé (Trent) and the drama is compounded even more when Lyor attempts to blackmail Phoenix.

Although the author attempts to portray Sasha as a savvy, smart entrepreneur who jets across the country to handle her business; this reader noted that she earned her major contracts after she performs sexual favors with her key clients, leaving one to question what true "business" skills Sasha possesses. She continually leaves common sense unchecked at the bedroom door and usually ends up used and abused by all of her lovers in some way. The author depicts her flaws in this manner to show a human, vulnerable side to a woman whose outward appearance would lead people to believe she is in total control and has it going on. We see her worry about her son, grieve for a father, and suffer debilitating panic attacks that seem to be curable largely with sex and Paxil.

Reading between the "sexcapades," I found the plot (which mainly consisted of Sasha juggling her lovers and sexual desires) to be weak and somewhat of an afterthought mixed in between the numerous sex scenes. While I really enjoyed Threesome, I found Fourplay somewhat dull. However, if you are in the mood for mindless, light erotica then Fourplay could prove to be satisfying. Also, I think Fourplay will also prove to be more meaningful and pertinent to readers if Threesome is read first.

Sasha Borianni has established her company, Platinum Imagines, into a top public relations firm. And with her savvy business skills and take charge attitude, she has garnered top clients. But in the process of juggling business and pleasure, Sasha becomes entangled with four different men each with their own agenda. To make matters worse her ex-boss and lover, NBA Supterstar Phoenix Carter, is being blackmailed by another one of the men in her life. What is a woman to do?

I loved Fourplay. And I expect Brenda's next novel to be just as entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Visit Sasha's World, April 8, 2004
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Sasha Borianni leads the life that most of us never will. Not only is she gorgeous, she has a wonderful job and many men who would love to spend quality time with her. Fourplay....the dance of sensuality is the long awaited sequel to Threesome...where love and basketball collide. I'm a big basketball fan, so I picked up Threesome as soon as it came out and enjoyed it thoroughly and shared it with friends.

In Fourplay, Sasha has several men courting her attention (Phoenix, Trent, Jordan and Lyor). Although the title is Fourplay, this is not some sleazy, kinky book. Although it's definitely sexy and stimulating, it's not a trashy romance novel. This book is really well written, faced paced and exciting. Sasha is also a family oriented person who loves and cherishes her family members.

I enjoy Brenda Thomas' writing style. In the early chapters of the book she lets the readers get into each character's psyche with select paragraphs written from the male characters point of view.

Although this book isn't as basketball heavy as Threesome the sports fan will still be titillated by the book and share several inside jokes that the everyday reader might not pick up on, for example Phonenix's lawyers are with the Mitchell & Ness law firm, a clear shout out to the NBA jersey kings and longtime Philadelphia company.

This book is very exciting with many twists and turns. It's sexy, adventure and will take you to a different place. Many of us lead everyday lives, but Sasha has more drama than a little bit. As Playstation says live in your world, play in ours, read Fourplay.....the dance of sensuality and spend a little time in Sasha's world and live in your world. I for one can say her life is much more exciting than mine! She may have drama but she is a lucky girl.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sizzling romance, March 30, 2004
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
In Philadelphia, Sasha Borianni and her partner Michael Taylor run Platinum Media, a public relations firm that provides spin control for its clients whether it is a Pastor, a politician, a banker or an NBA great. Sasha tends to mix business with pleasure though she knows better having lost a fiancé for doing just that. Still she cannot resist the charm of handsome banker Jordan Ashe, her firm's latest client even as her former lover and employer NBA superstar Phoenix Carter desperately needs her help as word in the media is that he shaved points.

International trader Lyor Turrell meets Sasha at a gala and soon sends work her way. They make love, but he has a hidden agenda involving Phoenix, stolen gems, and the murder of his older brother Barry. Finally, her fiancé Trent Russell, rising New jersey politician, wants her back in his life as he has never stopped loving her though he broke it off two years ago due to her infidelity. With her father ailing and her adult son and his wife and children returned from California, Sasha still finds the time to hop in a few beds even as she provides top of the line PR service to her clients.

Though the promiscuousness of the lead protagonist will bother some readers, fans will appreciate this warm character study. The story line takes a more serious tone than typical chick lit tales as Sasha's PR work is fascinating to follow, which is when the story line is at its best. The delightful FOURPLAY...DANCE OF SENSUALITY provides a deep look at the complete life of its star.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Awesome Sequel, August 5, 2004
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Fourplay is the sophomore title for Ms. Thomas. This is also the sequel to Threesome. Fourplay continues the story with Sasha Boriani, who in Threesome was the assistant to NBA player Phoenix Carter. Sasha has returned to Philadelphia to open her own public relations firm Platinum Images.

With the opening of Platinum Images and increasing her responsibilities, she has also increased her MANpower. Number one, is Jordan Ashe a bank executive who is the love of her life for the moment. Number two is ex-fiancé Trent, who returns wanting to just be friends. Number three is her ex-boss and ex-lover NBA Basketball star, Phoenix Carter, who returns seeking Sasha's professional assistance in making his name shine in the public eye, and saving his career in the NBA Number four, is wealthy financier, Lyor Turrell, whom is immediately drawn in by Sasha's infectious charm. He seeks to get to know her better. Secretly however, he is aware of her previous relationship with Phoenix. One-Two-Three-Fourplay, with the increase in men in her life there could only be an increase in drama, but Sasha has it all under control.

If the saying "use what you got, to get what you want" is true, Sasha Boriani lived by those words. She will allow nothing to stand in her way of getting the business deals she is seeking, no matter whom she must lay down with to get it.

Fourplay begins rather slowly, later in the book it begins to get more interesting. This is a good sequel to Threesome. I would definitely recommend both titles although there is still a lot to be desired. This title will not waste your time as this book can easily be read in a day

Now I truly enjoyed threesome but fourplay was not all that because it started off slow and then when it started to be good it was more towards the middle of the book. That was my only problem It just was not her best.

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Read, June 20, 2004
By
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Brenda Thomas is back with her latest novel Fourplay, the sequel to Threesome. Sasha has started her new public relations firm Platinum Images, in doing so she finds herself juggling more then she set out to. Phoenix Carter resurfaces needing Sasha's help to clean up the damages his gambling addiction has caused. Jordan Ashe a bank executive would like to take care of more then just business needs iwth Sasha. We also have Trent, Sasha's ex-boyfriend who is interested in rekindling the love they once shared. As if that is not enough men for Sasha to handle, she finds herself in some compromising positions with financier Lyor Turrell who offers her an opportunity to obtain a huge contract for Platinum Images.

Fourplay, although an entertaining read, did not compare to its predecessor Threesome. Sasha Borianni appears to have a good head on her shoulder for business, but her personal life leaves much to be desired. The men in her life were able to use her body for their sexual gratification with out much regard for her. The sad part is this didn't seem to bother Sasha.

I was really looking for that one bit of excitement that would keep me reading nonstop until the very end. I am the type of reader who once I start a book I must finish it. However, this book did not pick up until near the end.

4.0 out of 5 stars You Can Run, But You Can't Hide, December 29, 2006
By

Sasha Boriannai is back, and this time around she's making the rules. Platinum Images is her new PR business. In an effort to begin a new chapter of her life she's out to prove to the good ole boys, that she can do the job just as well as they can.
But, will she have a chance to demonstrate what she and her company are capable of?

While moving up the corporate ladder, she's trying to let go of all the ghost in her history, but she can't hide forever. The temptation is finding its way back when Phoenix Carter, a blast from her past is in need of her help. Will she be able to keep a level head?

Fourplay is a good read, but not as fulfilling as Threesome.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sasha strikes again, July 13, 2004
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
I loved how Sasha transitioned from a secretary to a personal assistant to owning her own company . . . it showed that you can do anything you put your mind to. Another thing I liked about this book was aside all of the things she went through and the fortune she acquired, family always seemed to come first. The one thing that bothered me is how she put herself in the same situation that started all of her troubles in Threesome (a love triangle). Three men whom she liked in different ways. But only one she truly was in love with.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dumb Bird, May 18, 2004
This review is from: Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality (Paperback)
Sasha was smart with her money, but when it came to love she was dumber than a doorbell. Her life was overwhelmed with her business that she didn't have time to properly think about her own life. I made myself finish reading this book. I enjoyed the 1st novel "THREESOME" so much better. The author is talented and has written things that tickle your imagination. It was a chore to finish reading this book, because Sasha, the main character irritated my nerves with her nonsense decisions in her personal life. I would consider this author again, only because I like the sophistatication of her writing; but I hope she gives her characters a brain in her next work.
