This book was a great read. It touches on how Alzheimer's effects family members and how it can make or break a family bond. Four people meet at a Alzheimer's support group and end up being best friends and then fall in love. This was a great story from the beginning to the very last page. You will not be able to put this down until you read the very last page.

Parallel romances,

This review is from: The Foursome (Indigo Love Spectrum) (Paperback)
This romance was so refreshing because all of the main characters were over age 35! Both couples had to undergo serious issues before getting married while caring for their parents. Centering around two siblings who meet their partners in a caregiver's support group. The two couples were African-American and Interracial who grew together and apart throughout this novel. Their stories paralleled each other which made it an enjoyable read.

Cherish Murray who was living the life she loved, had her perfect career and engaged to a great guy then her mother tells Cherish that she is in the late stages of Alzheimer's. Cherish then gives up her man and much of her career to work from home to care for her mother that she feels bound to care for until her death. Cherish's' Aunt Diane, her late mother's sister strongly suggest that Cherish attend a support group for adult children of Alzheimer's patients. Diane is determined to get Cherish to start dealing with the guilt and sorrow after many months of grieving over her mother's passing. Darius is determined to live his dream thinking his life is on track with his promotion and custom built home, until his dad is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Darbi is a widow, who has some secrets and self image issues after a marriage that she does not want to discuss. Who has moved back home, she is trying to get some direction to her life and overcome the nightly specters' who invades her dreams every night. Curry Fitzgerald player and best friend of Darius, who encourages Darius and Darbi to attend a support group for adult children of Alzheimer's patients. The foursome shares tears and joys, while learning how to not let the condition control their lives and loves. Must read, I could not put it down until I finished the book. This author has several books that I have read and has not failed to enthrall me with her stories.

Great title for the book because all of the charcter are great and great together. Darius and Darbi Crawford are brother and sister who father is in the first stage of Alheizmer. Darius has just move into his dream home and now with his father illness has to make some adjusment to his life style since his father and nurse will be living with him. Darbi who has moved back home a year ago is dealing with her own issue regarding her marriage. You will also get to meet Curry that is Darius friend and let me tell you Curry is something else, and you will Cherish as well her mother died of the illness so she helps Darius and Darbi deal with their father illness. Cherish is also feeling guilty because she was was always working and wasn't there for her mother like she feel she should have been. The book is also about healing and forgiveness of yourself. This books will have you laughing and so parts will have you crying.
This is a must read. Louise
