Freed, Forgiven and Uplifted,
This review is from: Fourth Circle (Audio CD)
My favorite songs on this album are "Too Proud" and "Trouble". "Trouble" begins with a gutsy, raw, roots-sounding slide/groan. To me, this repeated slide/groan expresses the weight of being held for a time in the Refiner's furnace. (lyrics: Ain't no refuge but you, my God/Ain't no safe place but in your arms/Gonna be still). The song then moves to a slow and heavy descending picking pattern that is both grounding and interesting.
"Too Proud" reminds me of a slow, homegrown parlor-pickin' piece. The lyrics sing of all the writer is not: (I'm too proud to ask/too broke to eat/too weak to bow/too strong to bleed), and the relief that comes in invitating a loving Holy Spirit: (Can you break through me with your strong hands/Can you undo me enough to heal me)... The unision voices end in singing (You take the weight from my shoulders...), leave me feelinging unfathomably freed, forgiven and uplifted! Thank you, Holy and Creative Spirit for Enter the Worship Circle/Fourth Circle!

Enter the Worship Circle tunes have been a mainstay in my collection for a while now, and the Fourth Circle has kicked it up to the next level. Guests like Karla Adolphe and Aaron Strumpel add extra layers to an already incredible project. Anyone interested in grassroots worship music - or music in general - needs to pick this up asap!

The fourth circle is a beautiful blend of amazing music and celebratory insights about our relationship to our Father and his amazing love for us. I LOVE this CD!!!

My favorite worship cd of all time,

This cd brought me through a time of huge disappointment and doubt in my faith in the "church". The songs are deep and real and easy to listen to over and over without getting old. The songs were like words directly from the Father to my heart.

The authenticity and celebration in the music and the artists lives are so clearly seen and heard. They are some of my favorite people and music!

The best circle yet!,
This review is from: Fourth Circle (Audio CD)
This is hands down my favorite worship circle to date. While I love them all, this one is more upbeat and encouraging than the others. Makes me want to dance!

I was really looking forward to this CD. I have all the other Worship Circles and I'm a big fan. Maybe it will grow on me, but I didn't like this album at all the first time. I can't remember being more disappointed. It didn't seem worshipful, just a bunch of yelling (and I'm all for exuberant worship). I don't know--glad others are being blessed by it. It's just not for me.

Like adding another room to your home,
This review is from: Fourth Circle (MP3 Download)
I know that review title sounds wierd, but I love all of the circles. Trying to review this album without comparing it to the others can be difficult at times, especially in a series. You always want to say, best yet or, well...not as good as circle number ... Well to me I think it is like adding another room to your home.
What ETWC has done with the fourth circle is simply added another room. I love the first three rooms (circles) just as much, but this is the 'new' room. This is the room that all the sons and daughters want to play in. Sorry, this is getting a little abstract. This is a great album, great arrangements and love the added new instrumentation. The songs are awesome and have a fun and playfulness to them, that makes listening to this album so uplifting and fun. Lyrics are amazing and always point to how good and how loving Dad is! Hurry up and click 'add to cart' time is a-wasting. Buy it, you won't be sorry!

Love it!!!!,

I so love Enter the Worship Circle, and this may be my absolute favorite. I love each and every song. ETWC's music is always so rich in Scripture and helps me to store up truth in my heart and mind. I love their recording format of recording a group worship session all at once rather than individual tracks. It gives it the most wonderful, natural feel. When I sing along, I feel like we're all worshiping God together as brothers and sisters even tho we've never met.

Hearty Yumness,
This review is from: Fourth Circle (MP3 Download)
I've kept this album in my iPod for the past year. It's seriously yummy heart stuff. Excellent songwriting, earthy instrumentalism, rich americana, and a healthy dose of awesome weirdness. Their love of Jesus is most evident and you'll be able to share their heart for Him with ease.
It's my favorite worship album of 2008. |
