The Fourth Garfield Fat Cat Three Pack

I have never been a big Garfield fan (Walt Kelly is more my style), but my seven year old found a "Fat Cat Three Pack" at a used bookstore and got hooked so we have been buying them at Amazon. The humor is acceptably challenging for a 7 year old, and my son, being more visually and artistically inclined than I am, has managed to show me that the strip does have fairly creative sight gags and design. I notice it more in the fat cat three packs than in the newspaper.

These books are great when you have a couple-hour car drive. I try to keep a couple in reserve for that purpose. Big format, font, and simple graphics means they can be read in the car without too much fatigue, and it keeps a seven year old (and 13 year old in a pinch) entertained.

I wrote to my son and asked how he liked his Garfield books. He said they were great. I give it 5 stars for being on time, and in great conditions

I have a ten year old who loves Garfield. He reads the books over & over & over again. I have read a few pages & found myself chuckling. If you like Garfield you can't go wrong with the books.

My son loves reading this book. He is always going back into it and reading punch lines again and again.....

My son has became a Garfield fan. He wasn't into reading, more into sports and drawing. Getting him to sit down and read was very difficult, a struggle I hate to admit he often won. He had no interest in reading or looking at books until he spotted his older sister's Garfield book and began reading. I have ordered him several off of here and he continues to read. I have seen him in his bedroom reading this book over and over again. Garfield has sparked a love of reading in him. He looks forward to more Garfield books coming in for him. He has even begun to read other books. Obviously my son loves to read Garfield books, therefor I must give this book a very high score. It is well written and captures even the most stubborn, active child and encourages them to read more.

These little books are a fair price and provide hours of enjoyment. The kids love them and so do I.
