5.0 out of 5 stars Charming twist on a well-known story
A tale told in rhyme, with colorful illustrations, in which the three little pigs' much more adventurous sister pulls her scaredy-cat brothers out from under the shadow of the wolf. Pre-schoolers will love the exciting new character. My son has enjoyed this story many times.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Fourth Little Pig
What makes this book so expensive for children?? Even at $60.00 used, it is still way over priced.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book for young girls or PC little boys as well!, September 30, 1997

This review is from: The Fourth Little Pig (Paperback)
This is one of my favorite children's books. In rhyme, the sister of the three little pigs shows them that life is more than just "sitting and waiting", that there are "things to be making"! She shows them that their fears are groundless and gets them out of their house and off having adventures -- as she does! It is an excellent book for all little children, with a girl as the heroine, very much in the spirit of today's women.

5.0 out of 5 stars A new reason to eat fudge - and be courageous, too!!!, August 30, 2006

This book should still be in print! The Fourth Little Pig (who is a GIRL, by the way) helps the other three pigs see that fear can be overcome and there will be wonderful rewards in store - including FUDGE. My [...] granddaughter had the courage to go outside where she had been stung by a wasp after reading this book. And all of my granddaughters got to try fudge! - something their parents had "neglected" to introduce to their lives! A great book because you can put the lessons it teaches to use in your child's life immediately. Again, it should still be in print.

This is a fantastic book...problem finding enough of them; ask the publisher to reprint. This is a gem for all.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book about courage, confidence, and exploration, June 30, 2010
This review is from: The Fourth Little Pig (Paperback)
This book is fantastic! Why is it no longer in print? My mother, who was a kindergarten teacher for 30 years, had this in her collection and recently gave it to my 2-year old daughter. My daughter and I love the book. I know a lot of adults who might also benefit from having a copy...
