Football but not just for boys., July 31, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Fourth and Long (Game On!) (Paperback)
Almost a year has passed after Alex Rogers father passed away. School is about to begin and he and his friends are all going to try out for football. His attitude changes after he finds out if he does or doesnt make the team. He thinks that he doesnt need God to help him. In a way he forgets about God. Turns his back on him. On his first birthday without his dad, he has a football game. After his mom gives his fathers lucky coin from football a few days before to his sister, she gives him the coin a few moments before the game. After the game and the fun ends, his mother gives him a tape. He unwraps and in there is a tape of his Dad before he goes through the real signs of cancer.
I thought it was a book that showed that you shouldn't forget about those who have passed. And that you can always go to God about them.
