These shorts come with the outer shell, as pictured, as well as with inner, chamois, spandex-type shorts. The chamois shorts are mesh and very breathable; the padding is pretty decent. The inner shorts are not attached to the shell, so you can wear the shell with or without, which is a definite plus. There are a decent amount of pockets on the shell shorts, as well as two vents on the thighs. These shorts zip on both sides and though this may improve comfort during a ride, I feel like the zippers open too easily on their own when biking.
The biggest issue I had with these was sizing. The size info link on the product page is for Amazon in general and not specific to Fox. I was unable to find a Fox specific size chart on the net, so I went with my regular pant size. Though the shorts fit and zipped up, I felt they were just a bit too tight for any kind of arduous activity so I exchanged for the larger size. If you have the opportunity to try on Fox-brand bike shorts locally it may be a good idea to do so just to figure out your actual size.
Overall, these are a great pair of bike and everyday shorts and you can't go wrong with the price.

Love the color- can't get more blue than that. These shorts are very comfortable, especially the waistband. The rise, side angle zippers, and flat waist in front are keys to this design. I wasn't sure about the length, but now am loving it. The fabric is light, these shorts do not stifle. The liner shape works well for......well, ladies who have less issues with pressure points in the crotch area, and more with a boney butt. These shorts get an A grade.
