I am a Correctional Officer that has used a variety of pepper sprays. One evening i had had an incident that required use of pepper spray to maintain the safety of myself and my fellow Officers. I used the Fox Labs 5.3 and was amazed at the instant affect on the subject, from only using a minimal amount. This product does exactly what it is supposed to, which is why i will always use Fox Labs 5.3. I feel secure when dealing with an unruley person knowing that i am carrying 5.3

I purchased this pepper spray based on the good reviews on it. I have not used it up to this date, but did want to mention how surprisingly large the 4oz canister is. As a woman with medium sized hands I can touch my thumb over the nail of my middle finger when gripping this mace, and the canister extends one inch above and below my hand. This is a large canister, and I just wanted to mention this in case it was far too large for someone to want to carry. The flip top is really cool, and I feel secure in knowing I won't accidentally shoot this. The mace canister seems well made.

Exactly what I was looking for. Good volume. Nice flip top trigger with large diameter for easy access and reasonable protection against accidental activation. Tall enough canister for easy stabilization in hand while aiming and accessing trigger. Still small enough to fit in a pocket.

I purchased and have given away Fox Labs pepper spray to friends & Family, and they have used it successfully against dog attacks. They both had the product maybe two plus years or more prior to having used it. I researched Pepper sprays, and decided on Fox Labs. I'm have total confident in their products.

I ordered this product for several folks, including my brother and niece, who had been previously attacked while walking their dog (a lab). After receiving the shipment, I gave them out, including one to a co-worker, that had been attacked previously, while taking his daily walk of several miles. He previosly carried a large stick for protection.

My co-worker, maybe 2 years later, related this story to me; he was taking his daily walk, and two pitbulls approached him, growling and acting aggressive. I need to say here that I am a big time dog lover, and don't like violence. Well, one pit approached from his front, while the other circled around behind him. The 1st dog closed in gnarling, while the rear dog was really not in to the attack, until the other dog closed in. Well, he opened up with the 3 oz Fox fog spray, and the 1st dog turned and backed off. He went maybe 15 feet away, and turned to approach again, but thought better. The 2nd dog, fell back.

In another incident, my brother and teenage neice were on a walk with their lab, when approached by an aggressive dog, trying to attack their lab (while on the leash). But after my brother sprayed him with the Pepper spray he retreated...

I am ordering more now, as my friend was walking his English Pointer in the hills near Martinez, when two dogs NOT on leashes approached aggresively. One was a pit, the other a large sheppard type. He was able to keep the pitbull off his dog, and the owner came suddenly apologizing for his dogs behavior. It could have been very ugly.

He now, will arm himself with the pepper spray to defend his dog, and also use it on any owner that is unrully, LOL.

Fox Pepper sprays are quailty, and they stay sealed for a substantial period of time. I cannot report on their performance once they have been used - as I guess no aerosol can retain the same seal. but I am sold on Fox Labs products.

I suggest everyone arm themselves with peeper spray to defend themselves, or their dogs. It's a great NON lethal protection that does not cause long term effects. And I recommend Fox Labs from the experiences of people I have given them to. I don't do many reviews, but here I had to provide my input.

I brought this pepper spray to protect myself at night however I wanted to know how good it was so I paid someone 30.00 to let me spray them and OMG... This stuff is soooo good. After I spray the person the pepper spray is so strong that I even was coughing and hacking.. lol, The person could not do anything but look for water to put in his face and then he could not stop coughing and then he threw up all over his self! This was the best money I ever spent! :)

I have yet to use the Fox Labs product but the reputation and quality is testament enought for this pepper spray. In testing I have experienced the heat first hand and can say it is impressive.

There is no way I can review this product until I get to use this product in self-defense...which I hope I never have to!!!. Meanwhile, I am putting my trust that this product will do what it is supposed to do if I ever need to use it.

THIS ITEM IS A RIPOFF OF THE ONES POLICE USE BUT THIS JUNK IS ONLY 2%STRENGTH. THE STUFF THE COP'S USE IS AT LEAST 17% SO THIS IS USELESS FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN PROTECTION AGAINST DOGS!
