These cookie cutters are fabulous because they cut bite-sized cookies in interesting animal shapes. Unlike other animal shaped cookie cutters, these cutter shapes are detailed enough so that even after the cookies bake and the edges round out, it's still easy to identify the various animals.

Because these cutters aren't made of stainless steel, they do need to be dried thoroughly. I found using a hair dryer to be a quick and effective way to get all the water off of them, especially in the hard to reach corners.

These mini cookie cutters are about the size of store-bought animal crackers. They are so small, though, that some of the detail of the animal is hard to see and hard to get out of the cutter. They cut well and have a rim on the top side of the cutter that protects your hands from sharp edges.

I love these, but you should know that they are TINY. They're great for making mini cookies for baby showers.

OK, so they are cute but are basically only good for pastry, like cutting pie crust for a decorative pie edge. I wanted them for actual cookies. Although you can cut them out and bake them as sugar cookies, the shape is lost so small.

These shapes are so cute, I couldn't pass them up. I use them to cut out fondant designs. To wash, I rinse them with water then set them on a paper towel to dry - I haven't experienced any rusting yet.

I don't like my kids to have too much sugar, but I don't want them to feel deprived either. These mini-cookie cutters are a great way to compromise. They love to help make the little cookies and they love to eat them. The animal shapes appeal to my little ones, too.

i love the animal options, but i didn't realize they were so small when i ordered them (even though they say 'mini'). i think i will still use them but i wish i had paid more attention.
