The spoons are shaped a little like a canoe paddle making them more like a shovel than a serving spoon. They were purchased via Amazon Prime on Dec. 18th, and I was a little disappointed when they arrived on Dec. 27th--as I was hopiing to use for our holiday celebrations! That being said, they serve the purpose.
