I just received these today and haven't used them yet, but I wanted to comment on the size. They are the size I wanted, thank goodness, but I debated the purchase for awhile, so I thought I'd share some details. The tin they come in is about the size of a silver dollar, or slightly larger. Each cutter would cut a cookie that would just cover my thumbnail (med/large woman's hand, nail cut short). I bought them to decorate mini pies, specifically the tiny ones made in mini muffin tins. They are the perfect size for that, because there are none smaller! Can't think of anything else I'd want to use them for, though. Hope this review helps.

These are nice, but WOW are they small! The entire tin they are stored in measures two inches across. I bought these to cut out fondant shapes for cakes. I'm not sure if I'll ever use them, as they are sooo small, but they're cute so I'll keep them.

In the description it says they're 1/2" and they weren't kidding. These are VERY tiny. I bought these to use when making bento lunches. Great product. I'm excited to see what other uses I can put them to.

I bought these to make little treats for my dogs. They are tiny!! Very cute cookie cutters, don't bake the cookies very long though- they'll burn!

I am glad I read the reviews beforehand. Yes these are SMALL, but as a potter they will work well with what I am going to use them for. The shapes are roughly a half inch in diameter. So keep that in mind.

I guess you just have to keep in mind the word "micro" because these are very small. They come in a tin which is nice so you don't lose them.

I have used these cutters for decades. Every Christmas, I make extremely elaborate cut-out cookies, intricately iced and decorated. Using these cutters I make, for example, hundreds of tiny stars. I put them on top of Christmas tree cookies, using a dab of royal icing. I then glaze them with luster dust and gold or silver dragues (sp?). I make man-in-the-moon cookies and place stars along the outside edges, again using dabs of icing and luster dust. The spade shape makes an excellent hanging ornament, which you can place on your tree cookie and decorate. You can combine shapes to make patterns. If you have a large snowflake cutter, you can cut diamonds out of the snowflakes, bake the snowflakes, and then bake the cut-out diamonds to applique on other cookies. The tear drop makes an excellent pear for a partridge-in-a-pear tree. And on and on. Their uses are only limited to your imagination. To bake these tiny things, however, you must use a dough that holds its shape and doesn't expand or distort when baked. These are the most valuable and useful cutters in my arsenal. I recommend them to anyone who is detail oriented and is willing to spend the time. Lots of time.
