How can I get you excited to read about a Spaghetti Measurer. Its red and it measures pasta. :) That is all.

I got this so we could better measure pasta for losing weight, but the 1 serving is really 2 servings - According to the pasta packages, 2 ounces is a serving, but the 1 serving measurement is 3 - 4 ounces. We never use it.

I hate cooking an entire box of spaghetti for our family of 3 (one of whom is a toddler who eats like a bird) as so much gets wasted. I know spaghetti is cheap and all, but I hate wasting food. Enter the Spaghetti Measurer. It works! It's such a simple concept but the measurements are spot on. Not too much, not too little, and the gadget doesn't take up much room in my drawer. I'm happy that I got this little thing.

This is just what I was looking for, and it was inexpensive. Whether I am making spaghetti for one, two, three, or more, I can use this as a gauge so that I can be consistent with the amount I cook.

I use the 1, 2, and 3 holes as a guide to let me use the amount of spaghetti that works best for me. For example, I can use a "tight" one, a "loose" 2, or a combination of 1, 2, and 3 to get what I want based on past experience.

Very useful - glad we found this. We used to have one, but misplaced it. Works great (but the servings are a big large, so we adjust downward).

Bought for my daughter, who needs to be able to easily determine serving sizes when cooking pasta. She is thrilled with this item.

I found this spaghetti measure difficult to use, especially compared to another product. Imagine holding more than one serving of spaghetti in one hand and this measure in the other hand. You push the spaghetti through the hole, and on the other side one needs a third hand to catch, and maintain separation of, the spaghetti that made it through the hole and the portion that didn't. One day after receiving this item from amazon, I visited my parents and noticed a Rubbermaid spaghetti storage container. That container had two flip top lids, one covering a measured one serving opening, and the other covering a measured two serving opening. One just pours the spaghetti, kind of like a box of cereal, and only the measure portion comes out, and the unmeasured portion remains in the storage container. Only after trying out each solution, and witnessing the ease of one over the other, did I realize I made the wrong product decision. Once I find a similar product, to that of my parents, the Fox Run Spaghetti Measurer will probably never see the light of day.

UPDATE:
I ended up ordering Tupperware Spaghetti Dispenser. Brillant Blue Seal and selling the Fox Run Measurer used through Amazon. I am much happier with the Tupperware dispenser.

I've always had a hard time measuring spaghetti, since I'm diabetic, but not anymore. My measuring tool has been used several times in the past couple of weeks...
