4.0 out of 5 stars Fish poacher
This is a great product for the price - sure beats 800 bucks for a copper one. Works really well, does a great job poaching fish. I will be eating poached fish more often

3.0 out of 5 stars So-So poacher
Although this poacher has an attractive outward appearance, it is very thin and light. I haven't used it yet, but wish it would have been heavier.

4.0 out of 5 stars poacher turned steamer..., August 25, 2010

I purchased this fish poacher with the intent of turning it into a fish steamer. The metal was soft enough so I could bend the handles of the tray downward, so it wouldn't knock into the lid after they tray had been raised from the bottom. I did this with a couple of canning jar screw-top lids. I just removed the metal jar top and kept the rings. I put a few of the rings on the bottom, added some water, and voila, instant fish steamer!

4 stars as a fish steamer. Can't comment on its original functionality as a fish poacher, but I bet it would be fine...

Looks good - I'm a bit worried about the handle tack welds and the overall sturdiness, especially of the inside tray. Use & time will tell.
