I have owned this mini scoop for years. It makes the perfect sized cookies. It is also great for scooping batter for mini muffins or cupcakes. This was a present from my mother and now I am purchasing one for my daughter.

I thought I would save a few dollars by purchasing this scoop, now I regret it. The description says it holds approximately 2 tsp., it does not hold that much. The scoop I received in the mail today doesn't even look new! I would not have picked this item up in a store. The metal piece that clears the dough from in the scoop is bent. The spring is tight and it's not a smooth contraction or release. I can't imagine how sore my hand and wrist would be if I made a batch of cookies with this terrible scoop. I will be returning this product. I haven't decided if I'll pick a different brand from Amazon or just order the Pampered Chef version from my friend.

I have several scoops of different sizes since I love baking. They work fine with soft doughs but if the dough is too stiff, the spring will come out and mess up your scoop! you have to relocate it and most of the time (when it comes to cookies) I just don't have time for it.. I'm in a hurry!

This little dough scoop is perfect for my needs as a professional baker.
I use it to form mini macaroons and for quickly and evenly filling mini-muffin pans. It's sturdy and well designed and does what it's supposed to do.

The first time I was sent this 1-1/4" scoop, the inner scooping mechanism was bent, and the first time I used it, the gear used to turn the rotating mechanism popped off the teeth and turned to where the scooper was sticking out of the scoop. It was worthless after that. The problem seems to be with the design. I have 3 other scoops of different sizes made by different companies, and they all have broader gear teeth and the teeth do not go all the way around the gear. However, this one's design does still operate fine if it is in good shape - I have a feeling mine was incorrectly manufactured or bent and possibly a returned item.

I gave them one more try by using Amazon's return/replace process. Amazon's returns process was super simple and without any problems at all. The new 1-1/4" scoop was in good shape, no bent pieces, and the gearing stays on track.

I am giving it three stars because the first one was faulty and should have never been sent, but Amazon rectified with simple returns processing and the new one was in perfect condition.

When my cookie scoop arrived i was very upset. It looks like its been USED!!! It has black scuff marks all over it. Dont waste your money on this cheap item. Go to your local Walmart and spend the $7 on a nicer one!

this scoop was broken after I used the first time. It can not be used any more. I felt disappointed. Bad product!

one broke in less than a minute... scooping chocolate ganache (nothing hard) the other broke in 15 minutes... definitely don't buy...

Like this, but didn't realize how small the cookies were going to be...literally bite sized cookies. This isn't what I thought I was ordering, but I like it.
