5.0 out of 5 stars 6 cup cupcake pans
When we ordered them, we made a mistake. We assumed and you know what happens when you assume, that, since they were 6 cup pans, they were for Texas-sized muffins, not regular-sized cupcakes. When they arrived, we realized that they were simply half-sheet cupcake pans, making 6, instead of 12, regular-sized cupcakes.
Since their brand and construction is identical...

3.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight
I was disappointed with the quality of this pan. The metal is fairly lightweight, not the chinziest metal I've seen, but only a notch above, and a far cry from professional weight stainless. However, there are no sharp edges or roughness.

Because it is not a high quality polished stainless, it isn't the easiest to clean. Also there are lots of seam areas...

Because it is not a high quality polished stainless, it isn't the easiest to clean. Also there are lots of seam areas that are hard to clean. That said, I am using this muffin pan because I don't want to use any non-stick products in my home.

Since their brand and construction is identical to the 12 cup baking pans we have and like, they should be as good as those but, since we have no use for half-size cupcake pans, we gave them to one of the local church kitchens.

I can feel confident that what I'm baking will stay healthy and wholesome using these pans and I saved a bundle with the 4 for 3 promo and getting $10 back on top of it! Plus, they save more space than having purchased the 12 cup pans. They're heavy duty and they clean very nicely, better than any muffin tin I've had before, plus they cool quickly too.

I'm very pleased with this pan. It feels like a nice weight and quality that will last a long time. I baked some muffins in the pan and they did not get burned like muffins tend to do when baking in those non-stick type of muffin pans. I really liked this pan :D

2.0 out of 5 stars Quality Drop, December 13, 2010

We have an old 12 muffin version that is a great pan. This pan is made in China. Each pan had metal abrasion in one cup from the manufacturing process. High gloss surface but thin. Packaging and marketing labels were difficult to remove. Would not buy again!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a nice muffin pan!, July 1, 2010
This review is from: Fox Run Stainless Steel Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
This muffin pan is nice; the size and shape of the muffins you get from it are great for a medium to big sized muffin.

I butter it really well, but I never have major problems with the muffins sticking to the pan. I just try to avoid filling it too much because it is hard to get the batter out of the creases at the end of the pan.

My major complaint is that I wish the pan was made of a nicer, heavier stainless steel.

After hunting in stores for over a year, I finally found this stainless steel
muffin pan on-line. I am very happy with the quality of the pan. The muffin cups
are deep enough to hold plenty of batter without spilling over; the stainless
steel heats and cooks evenly; and, it cleans up beautifully in the dishwasher.

If you're looking to replace your aluminum baking pans, this one is a good choice. This shiny, low-priced pan is light in weight, making it good for occasional bakers.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love these pretty and versatile pans, December 20, 2011

This review is from: Fox Run Stainless Steel Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
OK, as noted by other reviewers, so these pans aren't heavy. That isn't an issue for me. I have given away far too many bakeware items because they were too heavy for me to wrangle without risking disaster, certainly too many for me to complain these pans are too light. I have vowed never to buy stoneware again (no matter how pretty it is). So for me the weight of these pans isn't a negative factor at all as long as they don't dent or warp easily (and so far, they haven't). Here are some of my thoughts about these pans:

1) UNIFORMLY SHINY
I did not see the manufacturing blemishes another reviewer mentioned. I bought three of these and not a single one had a flaw in the finish. It was love at first sight. The stainless-steel coating is good enough for me. The combination of aluminum core (for even baking) and stainless-steel coating (for appearance and safety) to me is optimum and I am very happy with both the look and performance of these pans.

2) LOTS AND LOTS OF GLUE
A huge product info card covered half of each pan, and it was glued to the pan in three spots. That glue was horrid. I had to resort to using Goop Off, and even then it took a lot of effort to rub off all the residue. However, when the glue was all off, I was relieved to find no scratches or any other trace of the battle I had just endured getting that glue off all three pans. The glue resulted in a loss of one star in my rating.

3) EVEN BAKING
These made perfect muffins, baked evenly throughout without over browning on the bottoms, taking the exact amount of time to cook as suggested in the recipe. My muffins rose perfectly (not too little or too much) and the bottoms were almost as moist as the tops. I always use muffin papers, so I can't comment on sticking.

4) DISHWASHER?
Yup, I put mine in the dishwasher, and they came out just as beautiful as brand new. I use gel dishwasher packs, never powder. Putting these in the dishwasher renders the seams around the cups a non-issue, for me. The edges are rolled but not sealed, so I air dry them afterwards to make sure they are completely dry and no water is left in the rolled rims before stacking them and putting them away in the cabinet.

I prefer the 6-cup pans to the 12-cup ones because:
a) They are easier to wash (whether by hand or in the dishwasher).
b) They are lighter as I put them in and take them out of the oven.
c) They are more versatile when a recipe makes 15-18 rather than 12 muffins (when you have three)
d) More options: up to three of them can fit side by side in a standard oven, or one can fit in most toaster ovens.
e) Space economy: when stacked, I can store all three of mine in just about the same amount of space as one; that is to say, my three 6-cup pans consume LESS space than a standard 12-cup pan.
