I bought this pan to replace an 8x8 coated pan that was all scratched and stained. I knew that it was only 7.5x7.5, but I didn't think that would really matter. I was wrong. This pan is too tiny for cakes, the sides are too low. It's shallow and small. I do however love the weight and finish and it cleans up nice. Not heavy like some pans and not flimsy either. No sharp corners for food to get stuck in. I just wish they made it 8" instead of 7.5". How many recipes call for 7.5? As the other reviewer suggested, this might work for brownies.

I was looking for a square stainless steel brownie pan that didn't have seams in the corners, didn't have sharp edges, and was not light weight or extra heavy weight. This is it. I love it. Bonus: it's lovely. I plan to eventually replace my other bake ware with this line.

Daughter wanted a brownie pan for college like the one I had gotten 30 years ago. Not quite as study as my old stinless pan, but nice, jsut the same. Hard to find stainless these days and as my old pan testifies, it is a purchase for a lifetime.
