The video "FoxFire" was a well made drama of faith family,, January 9, 1999

"Foxfire" was a well made and well done movie. It showed how faith, family and love can bind a family together, no matter the problems or tragedys that may befall it. Jesseca Tandy and Hume Croyne do an excellent job as Annie remembers her husband in spirit and in life, John Denver did an excellent job as her son Dillard Nations. It showed that no matter what things may change, things will work out if we keep our faith and trust in God and each other, and repect the land that we live on and our heritage also. We must look back at times to see how far we have come, and to preserve our great heritage so our past won't be forgotten. Faith in God, family and relationships. We need more of that these days!!!

the best ever made-should be the movie of the 20th cen., December 30, 1998

I have rented this movie so much, I bought my own copy. I have watched it 10 times (at last count)in 1998. I can relate to this story coming form the mountains, and grew up on th appalachian music. I am 26 years old, and I am an actor in professional theater, and we did this production several years ago. I also play the bluegrass/mountain festivals all over the U.S., so I came form a great heritage of this music. John Denver is still my hero, and he could touch any living thing with his music, and especially of home life. Thank you for your great movie, I wish there would be more in the future, but none will be like Foxfire. I would like to know if the organization is still going, and how I can be in contact with them. I would love to correspond by e-mail of young people(and older) who has a love and appreciation for the mountains, and the love for old time, bluegrass music. THIS IS OUR HERITAGE! PLEASE DON'T LET IT SLIP FROM OUR HANDS-PASS THIS DOWN FORM ONE GENERATION TO THE NEXT- That part of our history can never be repeated, but we can carry the tradition, and keep the spirit of our ancesters alive. The mountains, the trees, the wildlife, and especially those that are still living there that knows what the value of hard work, family, love,church,-THEY ARE DEPENDING ON US. WE CANNOT LET THEM DOWN. LET US ALL DO OUR PART TO KEEP THE APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS ALIVE FOREVER-AND NOT TO LET ALL THESE BIG HOMES AND BUSINESS COME IN TO DESTROY WHAT GOD HATH PUT ON THE EARTH. There could never be a greater cast put together for the movie, and I would like this to be the movie of the 20th centry. My hats are off to you! God Bless Matthew Weaver-North Carolina anybody wishing to contact me: mountainviewmusic@yahoo.com P.S. One more thing, I have great respect for all our seniors who have worked so hard, and have so little. My parents have always told me- "BE KIND TO OLD PEOPLE, BECAUSE ONE DAY YOU WILL BE OLD." My heart goes out to each and everyone of these precious people, and if I could, I would give each one a big hug.
