Shake that nasty thing you nasty, nasty girl!,

This review is from: Foxy Lady (Audio CD)
Foxy Lady isn't as unique as Supermodel of the World, but it does have it's high spots. The CD starts off with some basic boiler plate dance tracks but then the Foxy Lady track starts and the old Ru rears her head once again. From here on out it's the sassy, brassy and always classy Ru Paul doing her thing with style! Unfortunately nothing here reaches the heights of Supermodel, Back to My Roots or A Shade Shady, although R.U. Nasty, Work That Body and Dolores come close. I especially like the guitar work on Dolores, it has a nice Spanish feel. Celebrate is a terrific dance song that will get most everyone moving and should've been a larger hit. But mostly, if you're not a Ru Paul fan you probably will not be that satisfied. For fans though this is a 'must own'. With only 2 Ru records to choose from you gotta have 'em both!

When the you think RuPaul what do you think? Well think again. RuPaul's second album will blow the roof off your house if you are not careful. The tracks on FOXY LADY show a fierce and frisky approach to dance music. The tracks showcase Ru's great ability to write fierce dance hooks and red hot meloodies. " A littel bit of love" is an amazingly well produced and well written track that is Rupaul's best effort to date. "Snapshot" is another simple pop/dance song that burns your mouth. The song "Dolores" is latin flavored track that is smeared with red hot dancablity. No song on the album sounds odd or misplaced. Due to RuPaul job profession the album didn't recieve must attention; however, fear not because it was a club sensation- and rightly so. An amazing effort and a dance album that ranks up there with Cher's "Believe" and Madonna's "Madonna".

I think RuPaul has improved Greatly over her (or his) last CD, Supermodel of the World. There are more upbeat songs and really good songs that are written well. RuPaul, you go girl!
