I live on the coast in Texas and pick these up all of the time on the coast. The top is made of some cheap plastic that shatters when exposed to salt and sun. That top just happens to hold the handle. Save your money and the environment.

My family does a lot of fishing on Minnesota lakes and have found the Flow Trolls to be the best minnow bucket we've tried. Lightweight, easy to handle and after a whole summer of hanging off the end of the dock, we haven't had any part of it break.
