5.0 out of 5 stars This rocks
I got this for my father for Christmas. He fishes both from the bank and from his small boat. This was the perfect net for him and he loved it. Now I have to order one for myself.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hooks get caught in net
The net is light, easily folds and expands, and is a great size. I used the net fishing from my pontoon boat, using the net to get 1.5-2.5 pound bass from the water into the boat. I catch and release so that I need to be able to get the fish out of the net and remove the lure quickly from the fish. The first fish was a beautiful 2 lb bass. Once in the net, the 3 hook...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Buy!, August 10, 2011

This is a quality product. Strong, compact, light, easy to carry, and well thought out by a company with respectable standings among it's competitors. The net easily folds out and locks into place in one smooth step. The handle, fully extended, is a cinch to lock and unlock, can easily support the weight the net is intended for (except maybe a cinder-block). A simple and effective companion. Should last years for fish and crabs too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hooks get caught in net, July 22, 2011

The net is light, easily folds and expands, and is a great size. I used the net fishing from my pontoon boat, using the net to get 1.5-2.5 pound bass from the water into the boat. I catch and release so that I need to be able to get the fish out of the net and remove the lure quickly from the fish. The first fish was a beautiful 2 lb bass. Once in the net, the 3 hook lure became entangled in the net. The net has very small spaces between the webbing and the hook gets caught in the net and is very difficult to remove from the net. The fish died while I tried to extricate the hook from the net. With the next fish, a smaller sunfish, the hook also got caught in the net, and required cutting the net to get the lure removed from the net. In both cases, the fish died while trying to get the hook released from the net. No catch and release for those two. I've stopped using the net and have gone back to a net with much larger spacing, where my lure and fish can be easily removed from the net.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, July 29, 2011

I like this net a lot. Not much to say about it in terms of use, it does what it was meant to do. The only reason why it gets 4 stars is because it feels kinda flimsy. How it folds together, with a plastic break at the tip of the net so it can collapse, feels like the weakest part. But just being able to throw it into a backpack with only the handle sticking out is amazing enough in itself. Also, the plastic flip on the handle that (i assume) is suppose to hold the extendable hand in place, doesnt do its job at all. Im still able to push the telescoping handle into itself with ease even though the lever is flipped down. Maybe others wont have this problem, i dont know, i dont care either.

First this is a great net. Second it folds up to take up very little room compared to other nets. Third even with the fold up, this net very well made, and the extension it has is awesome.
I am very happy with my purchase and recommend to anyone else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fishing Tools, April 28, 2011

This net is a great item, it is replacing a big long handle net which we could never find the right spot for. I leave this net in a drawer on the pontoon boat and when I fish I pull it out to use. It takes up no room it is about the size of a rolled up beach towel and very easy to open when needed. This one is a great price but if I ever need another I would pay double.
